This is my first review of the Oliver Inn, but our third time to stay. I called to make a "last minute" reservation to celebrate our 25th anniversary. This time we stayed in one of the smaller rooms, but it was great--it included ample space, a comfy bed, lots of natural light, and a newly remodeled bathroom with heated floors,... More

Stayed here for a couple days on a business trip. Normally I stay in typical very ice hotels, so this was a first for me to stay in an Inn. I was more than pleasantly surprised! The owners were so warm and inviting and hospitable. Go out of their way to make you comfortable and serve your needs. The house... More

The Oliver Inn was the perfect place to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary! The historic beauty of the inn along with the delicious breakfast and treats made this a great place to stay! We enjoyed walking down the street and viewing the other historic homes in the area. The owners have the gift of hospitality and made us feel welcomed... More

I have been fortunate to stay a couple of times at the Oliver Inn -- once when in town for a funeral, and again when coming back from the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Both visits, Tom and Alice shared the comforts of home in this wonderful historic inn. The breakfasts are fantastic, and the location is in a walkable neighborhood... More

This was a last minute booking so most of the Inn was sold out. I ended up in "Gertrude's Dressing Room," which was one of the least expensive rooms at the Inn, and I presume among the smallest. For just a one night stay for one person, it was fine, although there were some quirks about the room -- no... More

My wife & I first stayed at The Oliver Inn for 2 nights in Fall 2016 to attend Notre Dame hockey games - see our review entitled "A Hidden Treasure In South Bend" - and decided to use the Inn as a home base for visiting this summer's quilt gardens in nearby Elkhart County. This time we stayed 3 nights,... More

My wife and I found ourselves staying in South Bend while riding our Harley up north. I've stayed off and on now for decades in B&B's, and The Oliver Inn is without a doubt at the top of the list for what a B&B can be. It is that perfect size, including ground, that gives you the feeling of staying... More

We spent a night at this lovely Inn this past weekend (July 2016). The Inn is simply beautiful, historic, and timeless. I felt like I was at Downton Abby at breakfast - all that was missing was Mr. Carson! We stayed in the Schuyler Colfax room, which is a lovely corner room looking out to the grounds. The innkeepers were... More
