Given the comfort and quality of the facility, the location, and the service, travelers have absolutely no reason to stay in a hotel in nearby Warsaw, Indiana. If you can get a room in Chestnut House, take it! The personal service of the staff was exceptional--especially for the price.

We absolutely loved our time (altho short) at the Chestnut House B&B. Machelle was accommodating & welcoming. Our room was renovated which we loved and had its own bathroom - our suite was very nice, clean, cozy and it really was comfortable (it felt like home :). Perfect location to town, we were able to walk to the shops or...

Pros: Cute, historic house at the heart of Winona Lake. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Gracious and friendly hosts. Machelle makes an awesome egg casserole! She had no problem accommodating my dietary restrictions. Cons: You have to take your shoes off at the front door. Walls are pretty thin, so we could hear someone in the next room snoring....

Amazing 4 days in such a well kept inn. Machelle was so sweet and let us sleep in until 9 for breakfast. Bed was so comfortable. Room was quiet and very clean. The built ins are so well made. Had hot coffee, tea, hot chocolate at all times.

The Chestnut House Bed and Breakfast is nice...nicer than the Waldorf-Astoria signature suite in NYC! Of course, the bed and breakfast is a bit more cozy. There are enough activities within walking distance for at least two days. Machelle's recommendations are very helpful. I did the walking trail for a nice evening trek after eating at the Boathouse Restaurant. The...

My husband and I stayed only one night...wish it could have been more. The B&B is exceptionally clean, well kept, comfortable. Fred and Machelle were the perfect hosts! And the breakfast was delicious.

I wanted a place to take my wife for a suprise get away. A place to get away from the world for awhile and man did I find it. The Chestnut House and its Hosts Machelle and Fred are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Machelle cooks the most amazing breakfasts. We met some amazing people around the breakfast table...

The Chestnut House is a beautifully restored old house with wood floors and attention to detail throughout. We stayed in the White Oak room, which features an enclosed sleeping porch that adds a reading nook to the suite. We had excellent wifi on the second floor. Innkeepers Fred and Machelle are super friendly. They provide excellent service and scrumptious breakfasts....

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at Chestnut House 3 times this Summer and each time has been outstanding. Machelle and Fred are wonderful hosts and have become friends to us. The food, rooms and house are so much nicer than a hotel and in most cases cheaper, you are missing out on a wonderful experience by...

Beautiful inside and out. A wonderful neighborhood and excellent service. Thank you Machelle! We only stayed one night but will definitely return when visiting our daughter at Grace College. Quiet and relaxing, just what we needed after a long drive. Within walking distance of quaint restaurants, shops and the lake.

“There are only 4 rooms in the house and the hosts live in a little house next door. All the rooms are well laid out, however if you want to spoil yourself, go for the Chestnut Suite on the top floor, you won't be disappointed!”

“I stayed in one of the two least-expensive rooms, the Cherry room. It was very comfortable for one person and would be plenty comfortable for two -- especially given the comfort and accessibility of the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The Cherry room overlooks the quiet street and the side of Westminster Hall on the Grace College campus.”
