Here are the negatives: the room had a strange odor, not smoke just strange. The carpet felt dirty and gritty when you walked on it barefoot. There was no stopper in the bathroom vanity so to shave and wash up you keep the water running for rinsing. On the positive side the beds were OK, the TV was an old...

This place was right for me. It was sitting next to a bus stop which enabled me to have short rides to downtown (and through their central bus depot to all other destinations) since I do not drive. The room was clean enough: tired a little, bed linen washed millions times, but clean. I was put in the room above...

They were very strict and wanted photo ID of my friend traveling with me. What type of clientele did they normally deal with? I felt like a drug dealer. Clerk was friendly yet not especially warm. Very by-the-book. Took some small talk to loosen her up. Room #1 smelled like smoke and lemon cleaner. NO SWING LATCHES ON THE DOORS!!!!...

The staff is an important part of the stay for me. They are top notch and I can't say enough good about them. Kind caring and considerate! The room is beautiful and the bed oh so comfortable! I stayed Thanksgiving and have booked for this weekend for Christmas! I will continue to stay at this fine establishment when I visit...

I stay here twice a year and have for years. Some rooms have a fridge, microwave and coffeepot. The Village Inn Restaurant gives a 10% discount on food to guests. The non-smoking rooms truly are that, not just rooms with ashtrays removed. I am smell sensitive and require a clean room for my sensitivities, and they go above and beyond...

I thought it was a little expensive for what you got, the hotel is very old. Clean but very old looking and has an old smell. The staff at the front desk was very nice and check in went quick and smoothly. The bed was horrible..... it was like sleeping on the floor and the bedding was rough.

This is an older place yet the room was well maintained. Clean and well furnished, the bed was comfortable and provided a good nights' rest. Good water pressure in the shower. Plenty of food options within easy walking distance including a great Vietnamese place right across the street.

We decided to stay at the motel while we were attending the Iowa state fair. There is absolutely no wi-fi available. Got up the next morning to get ready for the day and the shower was broke. We told hotel staff who told us we were incompetent and didn't know how to use the shower. These guys aren't classy enough...

The WiFi is nonexistent. The traffic noise is awful. Every time another room turns their water on there is a very loud whining noise. Bathroom is so small you barely have enough room to turn around. There is no microwave or mini fridge. The room just has a funny smell to it. Won't be staying here again, not impressed at...

I was on a business trip, for 3 days, 2 nights. Booked this Motel, even after seeing they had no amenities. Friendly staff, ok area, easy to get to fast food and the Highway. Big Room, Id stay there again, if on a short stay
