Fabulous hosts at this B&B in Iowa City. They were so accommodating to my special dietary needs, and great to visit with about their very old, historic neighborhood. The house itself was spotlessly clean and the rooms charming.

This place was recommended to us by friends of friends that we met at a wedding halfway across the country. They were right! It is the former home of an U of I faculty member. You may park in the back and enter off the walk along the side of the house. We were welcomed by the charming and personable...

A delightful, cozy bed and breakfast with friendly, unobtrusive hosts Mark and Bob. Sunday's breakfast — baked French toast, with fruit and sausage — was just right. The north side Iowa City neighborhood is a charming area of town within easy walking distance of Hancher, downtown, City Park and the University of Iowa campus. Well worth a stay.

I am so pleased that this is the hotel I chose to stay in in Rockfort. It is small and the room I had was in keeping with a wellkept 105 year old house.. Up to date.. and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. If you visit Rockford IL. place also visit the Anderson Japanese Garden.. This should not be missed.. An...

We enjoyed staying here. It was clean and comfortable. A short walk to downtown area restaurants. The host was friendly and nice, but not intrusive. The weekday breakfast was continental only but perfectly fresh, adequate and tasty. We would stay again if we were in the area. The common areas where quite home like and nice.

The Innkeeper, Mark, is charming. The house and the neighborhood is lovely. The beds are firm, but comfortable. The continental breakfast is very nice. Reasonable rates make for a lovely place to stay.

When I planned to visit the University of Iowa in Iowa City for student recitals at the new Voxman Music Building, it was important to be within walking distance to campus. I looked forward to strolling the cobblestone streets of the neighborhoods from my student days. The Brown Street Inn was the perfect choice in a quiet, residential neighborhood just...

I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay here. It was perfect in every way. Mark and Bob went out of their way to make us feel special and made sure that we had everything that we could need and want during our visit. I have stayed at many different B&B's over the years and this one has to...

Soothing, comfortable, beautiful. Worth every penny and then some. Beds very comfortable. Quiet and elegant atmosphere. A place you hate leaving. WONDERFUL hosts! Delicious breakfast and homemade cookies. Microwave available in foyer with tea and fresh water. Feels like living in an elegant home.

My husband & I love the Brown Street Inn and look forward to staying there whenever we are passing through Iowa. Mark & Bob are the most gracious of hosts. The inn is inviting, full of lovely antiques & artwork. We have tried almost all of the rooms & each is different. I think it's hard to pick a favorite....
