Having enjoyed a stay here a few years ago we recommended The Bell Inn for a Twixmas break with our friends. There was an offer on which seemed good value so we booked two rooms, one a standard and one a superior (as the standards had all been booked). Our room, the superior was very nice but our friends room,...

Thank you for taking the time to write your comments about your stay with us in December last year, I am very sorry that you experienced a bad steak when you dined with us. I am also very sorry that you didn't get a reply from the Bell Inn about your query, please telephone me so that I can speak...

From the outside you feel like The Bell is going to be quite a corporate pub / hotel and I guess that's because it's quite a substantial property. However once you go in you don't need to worry. There is a fantastic bar and a few different rooms in which to eat, including a private dining room. We opted for...

Visited The Bell Inn for our Wedding Anniversary Lunch and it was excellent. All fresh, beautifully presented and lovely tranquil surroundings. It was very well priced too for the quality of the food. Would certainly recommend for lunch or dinner in the New Forest.

We stayed at the Bell Inn for one night. The rooms were lovely and clean and nicely decorated. Large bathroom. Lovely cost area in the bar by the open fire. We felt the hotel was let down by the service in the restaurant. The staff were lovely, but it felt like nobody was in charge. There was a 50th birthday...

Stayed for a week for business and thought it was a really lovely place to stay. The classic room was perfect in size and decor and very new, lovely to have a bath too. Only disappointment upon arrival was a couple of hairs in the bath and a dirty glass in the bathroom which was inexcusable. Dinner and breakfast were...

This is a lovely small place. Rooms are lovely, and most of the staff look happy to be there. Beer is fresh and local, and not badly priced.....typically Flack Manor, Ringwood etc. Food though lets the place down. Don't get me wrong, it tastes nice, but you have to wait a while and you can go away feeling hungry and...

We stayed here for one night in March and had a lovely evening meal. The room was quite small but clean and newly decorated. Everything worked well and the staff were always very friendly and polite. The hotel is in a lovely area with loads of walking from the doorstep and plenty more within a few minutes drive. We would...

We had our intimate Leapday wedding at this venue. The manager Mark was accommodating from the get go and was always quick to respond to any queries that we had. All the staff were polite and extremely helpful, especially the lovely ladies on reception. The food was incredible and the bedrooms were amazing. As the hotel is dog friendly we...

A really delicious lunch today of roast salmon with grape and shallot salsa. Excellent service too. What's not to like? The Bell Inn is a friendly, comfy place, just right for a New Forest hostelry. Thank you!

Looked like a nice place from the outside. However upon entering, the unwelcoming staff really let the place down. Then the "large" glass of coke that I ordered was flat. Fair enough, but it's replacement was also flat. Then finally given (not offered) a "small" bottle. When our food arrived, we had to wait whilst it got cold, for cutlery...

Dear RWH68, Thank you for your comments. I am sorry that you feel the service fell short on this occasion. On the day of your visit we did unfortunately experience a mechanical problem with our soft drinks dispenser. Once this came to our attention, bottled drinks were served until the issue was resolved. We were unable to find room for...
