If you REALLY love freight trains, or if you REALLY like smelly, claustrophobic casinos, then have I got a deal for you! The Frontier Motel is a clean, inexpensive motel located just a stone's throw from a windowless, nicotine-stained, 3-story floating barge that's been tarted up to resemble a river boat. You can lose small change or big bucks there,... More

Glad I came upon this gem. Nice room, clean bathroom, no bugs, every thing was in good shape. Restaurants and a casino in walking distance. Easy access to bridge over the Mississippi to Prairie du Chain

the decor is straight out the 60's.... the mattress so soft , it hurt our back. there where only 2 pillows on the bed.and there where cheapies & spongee. needless to say, we didn't get a good night's sleep. there was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom.the curtains where so thin, that they let the sun in & we... Great clean little motel with very friendly, nice owner. Within walking distance of Lady Luck Casino and also breakfast at a great little restaurant down the street. Wonderful to be able to park and unload motorcycle gear right into the room. Only drawback was the train that woke us up at 6:30 am. Gas station was also close. We also... More

Great little motel right on the Mississippi and block from the casino boat. We stumbled across it 2 years ago and enjoyed our overnight stay. Same thing this year. Rooms are clean and have you need for an overnight stay. (Don't forget to pick up your shampoo & lotion from the front desk!) Added bonus is it's walking distance to... More

We love this place because it has a mom and pop feel to it and that's something we both like as opposed to the hotel chain feeling, The owner is a likable and personable guy and you're near many fun places to go. The price is great, the owner is a likable and personable guy and you ar

The owner is why we stayed! He is very friendly and honest. We did not have a reservation and he had only one room left. It happened to be a smoking room (one of only 2 that he has on property). Understanding my hesitation, he allowed us to go and check out the room, waived the pet fee and allowed... More

We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our Motel. We strive to make every guest"s stay a pleasant, comfortable, and relaxing one. Our Motel is definitely not a chain hotel and we don't try to be one. We believe that we have a lot to offer our guests while they are traveling. As a small,... More

Room completely renovated...very clean....nice furnishings...large flat screen tv... Room 23.....the only drawback was the bed..for 80 dollars a night, I would expect a good bed. We have stayed here before....and will return, hopefully they will be updating mattresses. Overall, great place to stay.

The Frontier is an older motel. Our room was clean and comfortable, and it met our needs for a one night stay. The owner was very friendly and he has placed chairs outside each room. We were on the second floor and had a view from the balcony of the Mississippi River across the street. Unfortunately, the train tracks are... More

We stay here every year. The price is right. The rooms are clean. The manager is frendly. The beds are a little soft for my liking but that's OK. There is the railroad across the street but that is part of the area. We also like the Lady Luck gambling joint down the street.

  • Might as well stay up all night. TV works. Room is clean.
