This lovely three-story hotel with themed rooms provides a fun place for a weekend get-away. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The rooms each have a different theme. We stayed in the "Marching band" and found it fun and different. A word of caution to any guests staying in this room is to be careful with the headboard of...

The rooms are quite exciting to look at but service was totally lacking this visit. Have stayed many times at this hotel and was very disappointed! Food was average at best in restaurant, bar area closed very early while people were still enjoying a drink. Front staff at desk were quite rude when asked questions regarding payments, why bar area...

This year I finally was able to stay at Hotel Pattee for the Brrr Ride. What a treat! We ate all but one meal at the hotel during our stay. The restaurant was extremely good. We each indulged in Jacqueline's Shepard's Pie, which was a meal owner Jay Hartz grew up with. This was a very rich treat. During a...

First discovered this hotel near the corn fields of Iowa in the early 2000s when it was recently opened. The attention to detail, the innovative decor (each room different), the beautiful regional artwork - all brought us back for several visits. The new owners don't have the same eye. A recent stay was disappointing even though the rooms are still...

Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your feedback. 20 years ago, the Hotel Pattee was renovated with a $14 Million+ dollar investment. Since that time, the hotel has been unsuccessful under two previous owners and has closed twice. My wife Denise and I bought the hotel 3 years ago and re-opened it. To say the least,...

One for the most surprising destinations. My wife stayed there once for work and said we need to go. So we took a trip to Perry, Iowa last fall. She had told me about the Hotel Pattee but i was not ready for how beautiful this place. you enter through the back door from the parking lot. Though it's not...

We greatly enjoyed New Year's Eve at Hotel Pattee! Thanks so much for the memorable experience! We stay at the hotel a few times a year for a quick getaway. We also stop in to escape the heat for a bit during the summer when we ride the 70 mile loop on the bicycle trail. We always enjoy the hotel,...

As always, great dinner, stayed in the Louis Armstrong Suite, was wonderful, clean, quiet, comfy. Breakfast the next morning was really good. Jay, owner-manager was working so stopped by and visited with us during dinner. They are hosting a Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser event for our Charlie's Angels April 22, 2017 and are handling everything! We would recommend the Hotel Pattee...

Recently stayed here for business. Hotel is well appointed, rooms are lovely, restaurant (food and service) is excellent. Highly recommend. The Pattee Suite is especially lovely, with a nice living area, fireplace, beautiful four poster bed, and soaking tub. Made me want to be here with the husband instead!

Fantastically beautiful and detailed recreation of the Arts and Crafts era, with individually themed rooms. Comfortable rooms, good food, and WONDERFUL service. I was there for a family reunion and we had a wonderful time seeing what each other's rooms looked like. We finished with a large (20 people) and somewhat raucous dinner, and the staff could not have been...
