I would have given this place a better rating but as I said the road there is horrible. I mean over 2km of the rattling ride is not my cup of tea. This makes our stay there to not want to venture out of the place and just stay in the area. The food prices in the restaurant are not bad. Also, the free breakfast sucks. Hard boil eggs, mee hoon or mee, fried rice that looks like plain rice, margarine, local jam, coffee, tea, baked beans, chopped hot dogs. Really sucks if you stay more than one day as you have the same breakfast. But, the mountain view of the rooms is fantastic. There are other rooms that do not face the mountain, so when you are booking take note of that.

Pros -If the skies are clear... u will have good view of starry sky. (Unfortunately, was rainy when i visit) -Service is good -Quiet surroundings -Good scenic. Check out morning pictures from room. -Decent size rooms -Food is average. Breakfast minimum and Dinner we tried steamboat, hot soupy stuff is fabulous for cold weather but its basic. Lower expectation Cons -Quite chilly at night. First night had bad sleep.. upon request they provide warmer blankets, that helps -Insects and lizards are part of nature. If they freaks u, u need to reconsider option staying at Kundasang -Celyn resort is another 10min path drive in. Gravel roads, bumpy. 2 steep slopes. Yr car needs good power for it -Facilities basic. Probably a 3star standard for bed and shower facilities. Dun worry, constant warm water for shower so its all good.

I loved my stay at this resort. Its location is fantastic! I was looking to disconnect and relax - and that’s precisely what I got! It is situated on top of a hill and it is completely surrounded by nature. The room was great! It had a TV, a nice bathroom and a big and comfortable bed. I loved the wet Mee Hoon with seafood at the restaurant. All in all, it’s an ideal place to relax, stay a bit away from the noise of the city and enjoy the lovely views of Mount Kinabalu and the surroundings. Many thanks to the staff for making this experience awesome!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend and we had a great experience. It’s a large resort located on a hilltop overlooking Mount Kinabalu. The views are simply stunning! It has a large number of 2-floor attached houses and the room where we stayed was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy and the balcony was very nice. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, a good scenery and relax!

Good value except for the long gravel road from main road. Select for upper floor Room K11-12 for clear view of Mt KK (subject to clear sky). The pictures below was snapped on foggy day so nothing to see.
