Went as part of tour group so access was not an issue. Would be very difficult to find and get to as independent travelers due to windy, rough road.. Rooms needed a good paint and bathroom very basic. Not much hot water. The restaurant staff were friendly but the guy on reception could not have cared less. Wifi only works...

We stayed at the Celyn Resort for 1 night during a recent visit to Borneo and would NOT recommend anyone stay there. As has been noted by previous reviews, the hotel is old and dilapidated, the amenities basic and barely functional, and the rooms mouldy and musty. There was black mould throughout our room and bathroom which was a health...

Stayed one night and that was enough. The road up to hotel is in very poor condition and definitely not to be driven in the dark.On arrival there were 5 staff at reception but we were given a less than helpful greeting. Room was roughly pointed out and no effort was made to help with luggage. The restaurant is halal...

Our tour group arrived late and in fog and left in rain and fog. The Basic rooms were in cement blocks; tiny and no screens on the bathroom windows. I finally ended up in the 'honeymoon suite'. Toilet seat off, lights not working, a huge neon escape sign above the door (that light worked) and dirty sheets. Dinner dishes were...

The location to the resort is adventurous with winding, dark at night and gravel road for almost 3 km; it is isolated. The wooden building with an iron structural member is dotted on the hill. The wooden floor produced sound whenever we walked hard. The bed, hot shower, ceiling fan, tv, and coffee maker are good. The cafe is available...

Where do I begin with this place? A complete and utter shambles. To give a brief overview of ourselves, we are two British travellers who have been touring South America and Asia for the last 6 months living out of 1-3 star hotels, hostels and homestays during this time in some of the poorest places in the world. All throughout...

Stayed here with family of 9 adults and 5 kids. We booked 5 rooms at Kinabalu wing. The room is pretty basic but you get an amazing view of mount Kinabalu from the balcony. Aside from the view, there's nothing much outstanding about the resort. The breakfast is limited. Not to forget you have to drive 15 minutes from the...

The pros: Great views Clean rooms The cons: Road to hotel is poor. Interior and exterior of buildings need maintenance . Wifi doesn't work in the rooms and in the lobby. In room telephones and intercom don't work. Mobile phone signal is poor at this location; at times there was no service at all - a worry in the event...
