Before booking this place I'd looked up through the reviews of others, thought it was as good as they mentioned but we were fooled. We got the room on 2nd flr, new building, lots of stairs up, same picture as shown...
My cousin & I stayed at the newly constructed building. The room was clean & cozy. At night we didnt even hv to open the windows yet, it was cool. Ample parking as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.
This was a hotel that came with a tour package but it was reasonable. A comfortable room with a good bathroom attached where all the plumbing worked as expected. The lobby was attractive and quite comfortable...
This is definitely one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed at. It is grubby, dirty and very tired. It is like taking a trip back to the 1970s - this is probably when this hotel was last refurbished! Such...
gathered from feedback from friends who have stayed here prior was with good comments especially with the spacious balcony that we can do BBQ or any medium group size gathering for a short trip in Kundasang.
Yes.. It's true. No restaurant or cafeteria, just a mini kitchen beside receptionist area where u can reheat your foods in microwave. Location to this hotel is challenging as if youre going to a fishing pond. We...
Although Mt. Kinabalu cannot be seen as it is in a way a view that is facing mostly forests, it is still a very relaxing place to stay. A great place to stay if one day your family wants to have a...
Due to the MCO situation, it has been quite a while since our family members last saw each other and it is GREAT to finally meet up again to catch up and have BIG LAUGHS. We arrived here while it's raining but the...
It is quite a drop down from the main road into the car park and a good test of your driving skills to get back out again. We checked in at 5pm and had booked a double bed, but were given a room with two singles, when asked about getting a room with a double bed they were very obliging, but we turned it down when we realised the view of the valley below was amazing from the first option. Rooms were basic but appeared to have everything that we needed. After a long day of travelling all we wanted was a beer, food and a shower. 1. The restaurant was open on arrival and we enjoyed a beer. 2. The water wasn't working and stayed off until about 10pm that night, problem with the pump. 3. When we went back to the bar after being unable to shower, it was closed. One of the staff had become unwell and there was noone to run it. Overall not the best and we can't review anything fairly. We went for a drive and found a Restaurant further up the road, Positives. Nice beds Great views Serves beer in the restaurant Close to the National park, 1km away Showers were great when working Negative, the piped music gets a bit monotanous. Can't comment on the food, but the menu looked basic.…
Well maintained with improvement compared to our experience staying here a year ago. The 3-bedroom family suite that we stayed is well equipped with various appliances and bbq sets. My kids enjoyed all the entertainment facilities available in this resort. Truly satisfactory.
The ratings provided by the other two travellers were pretty high. However, I am of the view that the place is not worth the money paid. Firstly, it is undeniable that the resort provided many amenities - a kitchenette, hot showers, BBQ pit, restaurant and games. However, they are old. The pots and pans provided are rusty and the restaurant had dirty dishes all over the tables too. Hence, you may not even use these items and it will no longer be worth it. Nevertheless, the rooms are clean despite its signs of aging. There are obvious molds and paint peels. You'll have to clear your trash yourselves and bring it up to the reception. My room was way down below and there are only very long stairs down and up to climb every day which made it difficult for us.
Checked in family suite and stayed for 2 nights. Suite can accommodate 6 guests comfortably. Very clean and well maintained, with all the necessary amenities intact. Hot shower excellent. At night it will be freezing cold, remember to bring extra warm sweaters. Location was between Nabalu market and Kundasang town which makes it less crowded and a quiet place to stay. Staffs were friendly and the resort chef can whip up a good dish when required. Only setback is the noise from next door. Suite walls and floors are made of wood which is not enough to combat noise and the creaking sound of people walking.Although house rules says no noise after 10 pm, some guests happily chit chat loudly till 4 am. Overall: Value for money and enjoyed my stay
The resort is new and located near Kinabalu Park. We rented a spacious 3-bedroom house, facing the valley, well equipped with kitchenette, BBQ set, big TV and video game set. The shower has low water pressure but really hot water. The surrounding is cool and fascinating. The cafe offers good food and few indoor games for the guests. The staff is truly kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in this resort. Consider to return to this resort in our next trip to Kundasang.
