Booked double standard room on the lower floor with mountain view. Require to carry baggage and walk a distance down a narrow steps before reach room. Back to nature. No fan, aircond, tv in the room. But very cold weather. Steps sound from upper floor is very loud.night time may have insects (flies, spiders, bugs) as visitor. No electricity for 2 hours during stay.

Booked last minute stay after spending previous night at Kinabalu National Park. Location is very convenient to National Park HQ (less than 5 minute drive) and yes the views were pretty impressive with a clear morning. Booked a “Double Deluxe Mountain View” room and overall the room and sheets were clean - not too sure what’s “deluxe” about it apart from a pretty cramped en suite Our room was an outhouse isolated at the front of the complex The room was very cold with no heating provided Apart from clean sheets and rooms there was very little positives The toilet shower en suite was cramped tiny and dirty The toilet constantly leaked every time we flushed The shower never had any hot water We had an evening visit from a massive cockroach crawling beside our front door In terms of facilities there was a kettle and flask - but no tea / coffee or mugs - obviously aimed at a Oriental clientele. Despite being able to see Kinabalu mountain some 50KM away the wifi was “weather dependent” - and the staff were of no assistance trying to make sort out the issue. Extremely disappointed - Avoid if you can If you do stay here - don’t put any bags on the floor otherwise something nasty might end up in your bag!

perfectly situation for mountain climb, the room shabby and i dont mean shabby chic. the receptionist was very nice but there was no record of our booking on their computer...despite receiving emails from the hotel and the booking being on my booking.com account-luckily they had rooms available. you could tell you had reached some altitude as when i took my packet of crisps out of my bag they had blown up-so idea place for spending time acclimatizing, although it didnt stop my nausea. the breakfast was very poor, no eggs as the kitchen was closed! but they still managed to produce noddles and rice. so we just had toast and cereals. there is a kettle in the room but you have to buy/supply your own tea/coffee ect. it is not far from the mountain start point so very handy. we did manage to get quite a good nights sleep, there was also a tiny balcony which had a lovely view. there were a few steps to walk down to get to room and we were told what room we had but would been nice to have been shown which one as i struggled to find it and had to keep asking, and all they did was point.

I stayed there with my girlfriend on 19 Feb 2019. The environment were peace and quiet, just how i like it. The room were spacious. There is no fan in the room, but it didn't felt hot inside as the weather there is cold. Breakfast at 7:30am to 9:30am. Check out at 11:00am. Overall, i will come back there to stay again.
