I only stayed here for one night, but really enjoyed my stay. The initial impression when i checked in was not good. The receptionist had difficulty understanding some of my requests.I asked for a quiet room, but was given a room overlooking the main road which was very noisy. Thankfully, having complained, i was given a much nicer room which was quiet and had a nice view of the mountain when the mist cleared.

Once settled into my room i enjoyed sitting on the nice balcony enjoying the tranquility and views. The room was clean and spacious so no complaints there.

The set dinner was tasty and served by friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast was quite limited, just a choice of one dish, but tasted good.

At the end of my stay a transfer was arranged to Kota Kinabalu airport. The driver drove well and got me to the airport in plenty of time.

I was happy with my stay overall, it was just a shame my time was so limited

My wife and I stayed in this Hotel for 5 nights in order to do birdwatching in the mount Kinabalu park and in the surroundings. Birdwatching was superb with many endemic and unique species. The rooms in the hotel were clean, spacious and in a good shape. However, what the hotel called restaurant was unacceptable: the hygienic conditions were scary, the food was cold and bad. We tried to seek for alternatives in walking distance around the hotel, but could not find any trustworthy. This "snack bar" urgently needs a new concept, even local people were disgussed!

We booked a night here as we were hiking Mt Kinabalu the next day.
The drive from KK city is about 2 hours. So, it will be a good idea to stay nearer to the Kinabalu Park if you are planning to hike, then travelling 2 hours on the hiking day itself.
Our twin bedded room was comfortable with tea coffee facility and a big verandah. Magnificent view of Mt K, even from the bed!
Food was OK, since ours were included in the package.
They were very accommodating as my friend doesn't eat meat which was in one of the dishes, they changed it to a meat free dish.
Would love to come back here again and stay longer.

Check in on 29hb night with my wife and reserved the room under my wife name at room L4 overall the room and location is good only the car from the highway very noisy but not important. The highlight comment is the service crew at the restaurant please improve. I’m suggest during breakfast please provide Bufei and easy to the service crew handle during the occupancy resort high. The restaurant menu also need to improve from the menu quality and taste. You display chef wan picture with the kitchen team so means people come expect to eat the good taste of the menu and quality. Food and taste totally out tq

This ‘Resort’ has one redeeming feature, the wonderful view of Mount Kinabalu, but that for me is it.
The noise from the road below is unending, as was the noise from the other guests, as the walls are super thin and the doors and windows are not a good fit. This also contributed to the wind whistling through all night long.
The bed was like sleeping on a wooden board, as there was no give in the mattress and the pillows must have been chiseled from a log, and the bedding wasn’t as clean as it could have been. There was mold in the bathroom and iron burns on the carpet.
We then ventured to the ‘Restaurant’ where I was served cold chicken curry and rice, which we refused to eat. The staff did offer to cook us something else , but by this time we had lost the will to live, after having been told nothing else was available.
The staff were miserable and unwilling to engage, unlike every other Malay we have met on our travels.
There are many good reviews on this hotel, but sadly they are in sharp contrast to what we found

Very basic hotel and old. We stayed there for 1 night and our room is facing the main road. It was noisy and bcus the room was wooden room, sound prood was bad. And bcus our roon was downstairs so we can hear someone walking or pulling chairs.

Anyways, the hotel is strategic and has the best view. We can see Mt Kinabalu so clear and near especially in the morning. Perfect view. And the hotel also include dinner and breakfast so it is really worth the price u pay despite those noises.

An excellent & very well thought-out resort at Kundasang. The views of Mount Kinabalu peak is amazing from our balcony. The reception staff are very helpful, in particular Anni who is so thoughtful and kind ! This is a must-stay place if you visit Mount Kinabalu National Park.

Rooms were very basic for RM240 a night. Although it did come with dinner & breakfast, however the food, especially dinner - soy sauce chicken (inedible), sambal squid & vege was very tough, breakfast was better but only so so.

We stayed in Block F, and although the views were great, it was also very noisy as it faces the main road. There are huge trucks driving past in the early hours of the morning, starting at 3am. If you're a light sleeper don't stay in block F, traffic is very noisy.

The pros - staff are very polite and nice. Resort is beautifully landscaped and scenery of Mount Kinabalu is really beautiful from the resort. Request for a room on the 2nd floor to get a good view of Mt. Kinabalu.

Overall, the resort needs to upgrade their rooms & food.

Room is simply furnished. It’s clean. Comfortable bed. Check-in was fast. There is coffee and tea making facilities, a hair dryer. The room does not have a good soundproof. You can hear small kids in the other room making noises. There is also a convenient shop nearby. It’s cold at night. Our room facing Mount Kinabalu offers beautiful view. You can sit at the verandah, sipping the Tenom coffee and watch the Mount Kinabalu. It’s a simple hotel but a comfortable one.

Two positives: the view of Mt Kinabalu from some rooms is very good and the room has tea/coffee making facilities. Everything else was disappointing.
The room was old and worn. Chipped or missing tiles in the bathroom. The bathroom door hit the toilet when opened (or the person sitting on the toilet!). The bed was very hard, like sleeping on a table with a sheet over it.
No air-con, it has a fan.
The noise is very unwelcome. Surprised that reception didn’t try to quieten the party-goers that were using the open BBQ area (before reception closed at 11pm), as the party showed no signs of stopping! Unfair to other guests.
Meal times were chaos. Like eating in a shopping centre food-court. Zero ambience and a hectic pace making it hard to relax and enjoy what was a nice meal.
No WiFi in room, intermittent at reception.
