Yes.. It's true. No restaurant or cafeteria, just a mini kitchen beside receptionist area where u can reheat your foods in microwave. Location to this hotel is challenging as if youre going to a fishing pond. We rent only Axia, still we manage to drive in just fine. Only thing is, there won't be any street lights on the way out at night. So plan carefully, either you do takeout frm restaurants for dinner or u don't mind the dark nights, its up to u. We got the 1st floor room a little same level as reception on the left. Thank god we didn't have the higher flr rooms coz its too tiring climbing up the stairs. The room is great, water heater also great.. No problems. TV also great. Sleeping too was great. Few insects in room but it's just fine bcoz this location is near to nature forest therefore nothing to complain about. But the coldness at night n in morning... Just wow!! Magnificent!!

Secluded in the mountains, wonderful resort, with fresh hydroponics and a large deck and outdoor area each room for sitting. The road to the resort is a little tricky but I think that’s applicable to ALL the resorts in the hilly area of kundasang. Real value for money.

Accommodation - Spacious, Clean rooms and toilets, comes with all needed kitchen ware. Hot water is available. Transport - Steep slops going in and out. Difficult to access unless using high clearance vehicles. travel time from KKIA is around 2hours++ Food - BBQ Pit provided together with 1 pack of charcoal & 1 pack firestarters. BBQ food not provided, so self prepare for foods and bring extra charcoal. Food can be bought at the nearby town of Kundasang. They do provide food but it is expensive. Overall Experience: A group of 7 staying at the unit facing Mount Kinabalu, it is one of the two best units they can offer, the other units may not have the perfect view to Mount Kinabalu. We drove a van so the access road is not as difficult, normal cars have to be extra careful, best if you can reach the place before sunset when the road is not dark. Cellphone signal is bad but still working at some times. Wifi, Data, Internet is bad but it does not bother us as it is a retreat experience. Overall it is one of the best retreat experience to KK. Definitely would come back again !
