Beautiful and elegant country estate not far from London and near to many attractions in Kent and Sussex. We were warmly welcomed by Amanda with tea and friendly conversation. Our bedroom was ultra luxurious and worthy of a six star rating. The house and grounds were grand in stature. Breakfast was plentiful and well done. Dinner was a 200 yard...

Our April, 2017 six-night stay at Thurnham Keep was as excellent as our first visit, several years ago. The location is convenient to the motorway but far from crowds, with several exceptional restaurants within a mile. The building is substantially similar to a stately home but on a more intimate scale. The public rooms are beautiful, with deep wood paneling...

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday, chosen because it is close to where our daughter lives. We cannot speak too highly of this place. Wonderful hosts, beautiful room with huge bed and luxury bathroom, great views over the Kent Weald, 5 star breakfast. Can't wait to go back in the summer and use the swimming pool and walk in...

This is a great place for a peaceful getaway and you really feel like a guest in a country house. Our stay began with tea and and delicious home made cake in front of a lovely and warm wood burning stove. The rooms are large, beautifully furnished and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. Amanda and her husband...

Spent a couple of days here whilst walking the North Downs Way from Rochester to Canterbury and took the chance to call in to Leeds castle along the way. Thurnham Keep was ideally situated and had wonderful Edwardian baths in which we could have a long soak after a hard days walking. Great gastro pub at the bottom of the...

We had a great overnight stay here. The room was beautiful and clean, with a lovely bathroom and delicious homemade shortbread on offer. We were offered homemade scones and tea on arrival, which we had outside looking over the lovely garden. The location was good, being very close to a pub serving good food, and the next day we walked...
