My daughter was married here (Mr and Mrs Tree). The venue was perfect for a small intimate party. Michelle and her team were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and everyone had a really great day. Thank you Michelle would we would recommend The Black Horse to everyone. Maggie Seymour

Had a one night stay en-route to a wedding. Greeted by a very smiley and welcoming young man who gave us our room key, advised where to park and booked us in for dinner. The room\chalet was at the bottom of a hill and unfortunately this meant the WiFi connection was poor and kept dropping out. This was an issue...

I went as part of a birthday celebration. The staff were very friendly and helpful, good atmosphere but the food was ok, nothing special. The setting is fabulous as is the seating area outside, with ample parking. I didn't stay overnight so cannot comment on the hotel side of things.

We recently enjoyed a two night stay here. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, but a little warm overnight, even with the windows open. Opening the windows allowed a little more comfort, but road noise from the nearby motorway was annoying. This minor annoyance was more than compensated for by the standard of the food. First class would be an...

I was a guest at a wedding here. First, it is a pleasant location and the breakfast staff and the maintenance staff are by and large very pleasant. The restaurant meals are good. But as a wedding venue there is something you need to know. I suspect that in the past a wedding party has got out of hand because...

Travelling to France from the far-north of England with family and two dogs could (and has been) a nightmare. This cosy and popular pub/restaurant/hotel near Maidstone stands out like a beacon for knackered travellers. It's only about 30miles from the Channel Tunnel terminal, and takes about half-an hour. There's Excellent food in the restaurant (full menu on their website) -...

Was recommended here because the food was good and they have accommodation, but what a great find! From the minute we entered the bar area until we left on Sunday morning, the hospitality, atmosphere and food were exceptional. Whilst only half an hour from us, we could have been anywhere in the UK, so wonderfully out of the way is...

Nice setting on The Pilgrims Way just off the M20 in Kent. Reception were less than friendly on arrival with man behind desk, between gum chews, saying rooms were not available until 3pm (we arrived at 1pm). It was ready and row between him and cleaner ensued. To be fair the same guy was smiling and helpful later on when...

We stopped here for lunch on a very hot day in the middle of a long walk so our drinks went down very well! Lunch was nice and the location was lovely. I never did find the ladies' loo even though I asked twice. I ended up going in the disabled toilet instead (and found 50p on the floor -...

Have stayed at this Hotel several times but our recent visit was for lunch only. Fabulous meals including desserts which in our experience have let other restaurants down , very good service and lovely location, would definitely recommend both dining and a stay in the lovely spacious rooms.
