It's a nice place to visit. Clean and beautiful. If you are planning for a short trip with your friends/family, you must come here. There is a beautiful swimming pool in the resort where can spend good time. Food is also good.

I went there during December with my family. It is a nice place for a quiet stay for a weekend. The rooms are clean and to modern taste. Pool with a kids pool annexe kept the kids engaged. The food was excellent , made to order. The staff were friendly, ready to help. Economical too. The holiday fitted our expectations to have some quality time together with the family Thanks Vedic Village.

Cons
1) Nothing much to do outside the resort except Cherai beach, Kodunaglloor Bhagavathy temple or you stretch yourselves to a trip to Kochi.May get bored after 2 days.
Tips

Order food early. Will take time as it is made only for us. But worth waiting....

We were on tour to Kerala with family and wanted to stay in a back water resort near to Kochi airport. Upon searching we found Vedic Village Resort and contacted them. Response was so quick and decided to stay there. Although it is about 45 minutes journey by car, very calm and quite resort located on back water. Ideal resort for Cochin over stay. Staffs are very helpful especially front office (Nijith and Lijo). They have basically kerala foods and delicious. Would recommend all.

As many others, we too were allured by the excellent Tripadvisor rating and reviews. In light of this we feel the need to share our view of our own first-hand experiences during our brief stay at Vedic Village in Kerala, India. We were originally planning on staying here for a week as the relaxing and winding-down part of our almost month-long November-December tour of India. However, on arrival we found our designated room to be in such a terrible hygienic state that we decided to check out within a few hours - an option neither of us has EVER felt the need to consider at any other hotel we've stayed at in the past (and we do travel a lot, having stayed at dozens of hotels all around the world in Europe, Asia, Africa and the US).

To be perfectly honest, we simply cannot understand how this establishment has achieved such a high Tripadvisor ranking. Moreover, the fact that they dare to charge $100+ per night is nothing short of outrageous. This kind of price tag would normally give you a deluxe room at a five-star hotel in India, but instead you get this:

- Cramped hotel grounds pestered by mosquitoes in the evening
- Rooms obviously not cleaned for weeks with thick layers of dust and, occasionally, human hair (this is actually on the brink of being downright unsanitary, the authorities should look into this matter)
- In-room refrigerator with mould stains on inner walls
- Weird black crumbles in the beds
- A nice colony of disgusting bugs living behind one of the paintings on the wall
- A bar of soap with bite marks on it
- Shower lacking hot water

We had such high hopes for our stay at Vedic Village. But apart from the graceful response from the staff and the decent meal we enjoyed before leaving, our brief experience at this establishment was an enormous letdown and we would strongly discourage anyone from staying here. Thus, Vedic Village has the dubious honor of receiving our first one-star review ever. Needless to say, won't be staying here again.

Good resort for a short stay. Maximum of 2 days. Main concern is cleanliness of swimming pool. Even after request , they did n't do anything on this. Food is good. But only one support staff in restaurant.

Dear all, i have some secrets to expose to bring awarness to guests who wishing to stay in vedic. Long back when Mr.Sabu alived the resort was well maintained n got excellency certificate by TripAdvisor. But now its worst than any Rooms are leaking while rains, no hat water available in rooms, even the electric power not be there continuily always runs by generator and when it over heated ,they stop it for hours.guest has to be there in dark without lights, fan ,ac.

The biggest problem mosquito's ,snakes in the premises and transport. Very high rates for taxi, auto and food. If you decide to stay ther be ready to face So many problems.

Water : The water they pump to tank are not advisable to bath. I hav checked the tank where they reserve is very dirty with waste materials dipped. No filters are in working condition. The same water they using for cooking every thing. I felt it buying sickness there. My daughters got skin problems after swimming in pool. They don't change the water in pool even used by different people continuity , only they mix chlorine for color changing. If any one take analysis the truth will be revealed. No department people dare to inspect it because MD Mrs.Rani Sabu well maintain them by offering bribe as she had crores.

MD Mrs. Rani encouraging the people for indecent activies in the resorts for her self benefit. She allow the students, youngster and minors to stay with girls for lower than base fare.

Restuarsant : Food prepared things are not fresh. In fridge full of cockroaches and insects. They reuse the oil for fry many times. Fridge full of old fruited and vegetables. They use rat eaten eggs even for omlet.

Drinks : They don't have the license but they allow n supply the liquor for guest. Mostly on Friday to Sunday rooms will occupied by drunkards and its not better place for families, only for prostitues and drunkyards.
You can get real news about resort bad activities from nearby local residents.

Environment pollution : Hidden secret of the resort is polluting the nature back water by disposing the food waste n others in the night. They don't have the dribage facility to go out waste water from bath room and kitchen. They dispose the waste in the mid night.

Cheating : They provide the bill with out tax details. I believe that They are charging more and paying tax for only 2000 per a guest even they stay more days in more rooms don't count. Party, meeting, get togethers income they avoid for tax. Few rooms only they put on the software.

Online C form registration not maintained for foreign guests . one of Omani faced a problem at immigration when stayed in vedic.

No proper response from MD for any quiry while in need. It's better not go to this resort. Many are their in kochi city itself, it is in very long distanced.

They say they are pet friendly on both Booking.com and TripAdvisor but when you call them, they say no.pets allowed. You can't simply make statements which inconvenience tourists who already have a hard time traveling with pets. Be honest about the facilities you offer for us foreign tourists

I have already notified Booking.com to edit their description of this property to correct their pet policy. I would urge Tripadvisor to do the same.

I have not stayed at this property since we were turned away on account of having a pet

We stayed as a group of 12 for two night during January 2016. Two nights is more than enough

Somethings that occurred during out stay:
- Pool cleaner only comes once a week, so our party had to clean all the leaves etc out daily as staff didn't
- There was no power for almost one full day as they ran out of diesel for the generator and didn't replace it
- The only drinks available were tea, coffee and warm bottles of water. There were no cold soft drinks or alcohol as stated on the menu
- Wifi was all but non existent
- Finding staff at any time of the day was almost impossible
- The rooms were cleaned daily but never felt clean
- Bathroom had opening's in roof that could not be closed so the room is full of mosquito's
- Staff made no attempt to deter mosquitos around the resort.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

We planned to have Guruvayur trip for my son and while searching i could locate Vedic Village Resorts and booked stay there. Staff arranged a well organised trip to Guruvayur Temple without any hussle. My wife was very happy with such arrangement and our family could enjoy a holiday too. Typical Kerala foods and calm & quite ambience made us in a different mood. My child enjoyed swimming pool. Ideal resort for Guruvayur trip.
