What else to stay that we feel blessed of staying in this amazing location. We have travelled in many beautiful places, but here was an incredible one. The lodge, is niched in the middle of two majestuous moutains, and is within a forest of surprising trees called Polylepis... very impressive and unknown one! Meanwhile we were in winter and temperature...

+ The place is really impressive! The milenary forest together with the beautiful mountain flora create an amazing landscape to be admired during the excursions offered by Polylepis Lodge. Their guides provide you with interesting information about the plants, herbs and the history of the place. The Lodge buildings are nicely decorated, the chalets with their chimneys are comfy and...

Visited Polylepis Lodge in February 2017. It was about a 3.5 hour drive from Quito, the last 30 minutes of which were on a rocky and muddy dirt road. We were in a tiny Fiat, so it was touch in go for a while there, but thankfully it hadn't rained recently and most of the mud had dried. The lodge...

I was given a 4 foot by 8 foot room with a mattress on the floor. The wifi did not work. The steps to my loft were crooked and unsafe. The bathroom was locked so I needed to go to the main lodge. The breakfast was good. I left after one day even though I had paid for 2 days....

I loved my stay on polylepis lodge, it has an millenary polylepis forest that Looks like it's been taken out from a fairytale. This lodge is on the mountains at 3583 meters over sea level, that's why is so mystic. The employees where really kind, specially Daniel, the guide. The rooms are a little old, I think some maintenance is...

This place is fantastic! It is nestled right in the Polylepis forest near a stunning paramo full of frailejones and some beautiful small lakes. The hiking is good and the lodge is very clean and neat. The rooms are cold but the lodge supplies electric blankets to keep you warm.

Excelent experience in a unique place. The polylepis forest is like a fairy tales forest. And the area of frailejones is just gorgeous. HIghly recommended place to visit. The owners are very helpful and nice people.

The Polylepis Lodge is a great place for nature lovers. You can enjoy the Polylepis tree forest, walk and watch Andes animals and plants like Condores and Frailejones, but you have to be fit for the walk at more than 10,000 ft of altitude. The place is great in the middle of an almost virgin forest. The only thing I...

Polylepis lodge has comfortable cabins, perfect for families or groups, and even couples. The price includes all meals and guided tours through the reserve. It's a bit pricy, but definitely worth while. The lodge is located at 3,500 km above sea level, so make sure you bring warm clothes! The beds are comfortable and come with electric blankets to keep...

The Polylepis lodge is an amazing place to stay, in an even more amazing area. I went with a school group and we only stayed for 2 days and 1 night, but the place was magical and the staff was incredibly hospitable. You'll need lots of warm layers to stay here, and the rooms are not heated, but the beds...
