We stopped here on our way from Morondava to Tulear. The place has a great aura and you see that it had once been well cared for. However, when we spent the night there, there were a number of little things that annoyed us. The water is salty, hot water is only delivered in buckets. You have light in the...

We stayed with four in the family bungalow. They are not very spacious, but clean and all of them have a view on the sea. The bathroom was ok. Only cold water but they do bring hot water around sunset. The water from the tap seems like salt water which is really not nice for showering. We don't know if...

The resort is situated in a beautiful location, right on the rocks with a pretty little white sand beach and many bungalows. E water was perfect for swimming, if a little cool. The room was very good, spacious and pleasant and the beds comfortable. There was only cold water in the bathroom, no one offered hot water for washing. The...

Located away from the fishermen village of Andavadoaka and on the wild beach. This hotel has some good bungalows with private bathrooms but there is no hot water in the bathroom, no wifi network. Katalina is the manager, she is a good advisor for the feasible activities around Andavadoaka.

A real oasis after the epic drive from Morondava. Lovely bungalows with screens on windows so mossie nets are not needed on the beds. Taps run cold water only but they will bring you a bucket of hot water for washing if you ask. Food was delicious; they did a fantastic job catering for our vegetarian needs. Ask for a...

This is a small somewhat isolated beach hotel. The bungalows are somewhat basic but clean. Some 4-room units have shared bathrooms. Food was good. The surrounding beach area is nice, but the road to get to this hotel is in terrible shape and it is not worth it in my opinion to drive to this hotel. I believe there are...

We stayed there for 3 weeks, and enjoyed every single bit of it. The remoteness of the place - a memorable 8 hours trip with 4x4 car from Tulear (160 km). The fantastic sunset right from our bungalow, The milky way very clear when the moon is away. The beach, with white sand - and seashore scenery always changing at...

Manga Lodge is a small, but very remote paradise. It's a full days drive from Ifaty (starting at around 8am) in a 4x4, but the scenery is awesome, especially in the first half. This remoteness has some consequences in what's on offer in the lodge. For example: You'll eat a lot of fish and crabs. There is no meat (how...

The bungalows are set in beautiful surroundings on a small hill. We stayed, a family of 4, 2 nights at Manga Lodgde. All bungalows have views over a private bay. Our boys played all day on the beach with the sons of the french owners. During the day the fishermen from the village come here to fish. It is a...

This is a beautifully located small hotel with international standing, great fresh food without worries, a small beach, away from city life and even villages. To get there, either take a plane to Morombe (Air Mad flies there once a week, most weeks) or a 4x4 from Tulear (ask around in shops and bars for the best offers). Or, if...
