First time going to this park. We stayed in the pet friendly lodge. The room was updated and nice. The only draw back was the beds, there were way too hard and my wife end up sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag.
I couldn't get in contact with park supervisor no matter how many times I called. Rooms were okay but they're in extreme need of a renovation and upgrade. All in all it was an okay visit. Rooms were clean, workers were nice, and the view...More
We enjoyed our stay at General Butlet State Resort Park. The room was wheelchair accessible and was clean and well furnished. The on site restaurant is good and wont break your budget. We are going to come back when the fall colors start.
Beautiful campground, but showers and bathrooms are disgusting and not sanitary.. One shower in ladies room had big hole in the wall with the fixtures laying on floor, was like that all week.. No one cleaned or put toilet paper there.. Computers not working, couldn't...More
I came here with my family for a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of Jersey. My kids were excited to swim, my husband and I were excited for the bar, and we were just ready for a much needed vacation and to relax....More

What are the rates to rent the canoes, paddle boats, etc? Is there a charge to get in the park or do you only pay the cost of the activities you choose to do?

There is no admission to the State Park. I am not sure what the rental rate for canoes etc is at this time. When I was there it was in the dead of winter. They also have a small but challenging golf course, A miniature golf course is in addition provided and there is some good hiking available. Lastly, I think the restaurant is one of the better ones in the State Park system. You can get online and either find the answer to your question or get a phone number for the park. I liked the place.

Planning family reunion of 10 plus children and Grandchildren June 2017. Will you have accommodations for so large a group close to one another? No idea how the housing will be divided. Approximates rates at that time? Contact info: Richard Brueggemann
