Friendly knowledgeable staff, huge room, great story about beginnings of hotel. Excellent meal in bar area. We enjoyed walking around the ballroom and lobby areas. Beautiful preservation and restoration. This will be our lodging of choice in Louisville in the future

This hotel might be a bit too classic for some. It is like stepping back in time. For me, I thoroughly enjoyed how authentic it was. There was a quiet serenity to the hotel and the location is a few blocks from the main tourist area. Beyond the rich woods there was a genteel service level, but that could also...

The Brown is a very lovely and historic hotel; absolutely beautiful! We decided to stay here after we purchased tickets to a show at The Palace and we were not disappointed. May I recommend the room service breakfast if you have a morning where you would enjoy staying in bed. Even with the gratuity already added and the up charge...

Great stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice night time view from our room of Louisville. Enjoyed sitting in the lobby listening to piano music in the evening eating Kentucky Derby pie and having a cocktail. Great Hot Brown Sandwich in the restaurant for lunch....a must while you are there. Cute gift shop with beautiful paintings from local artists in...

I had to come to Louisville for an outpatient surgical procedure . My wife was with me and we were originally booked to stay at another major chain hotel downtown. I stumbled across an ad for The Brown and then read some on line reviews and decided to switch to The Brown. It was a great decision. The service was...

Here again for business - as usual the hotel staff are very attentive and helpful. The menu changes in the lobby bar are welcome and the food is always consistent and enjoyable. Great place to be spoiled for business or pleasure. Thanks to all the staff .

Having grown up in Kentucky, The Brown is something of a legend. I booked a room for myself and a friend on hotwire, which may have influenced our treatment. I was beyond excited to find out that the hotel we had received was The Brown! Let me also state that I have a background in hospitality, having spent time at...

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Brown and found the staff exceptionally hospitable and helpful to a person. The hotel is gorgeous and we went to Louisville specifically to stay in it for a short vacation. There are always things to complain about of course. We ordered room service twice and both times our special requests were not relayed...

They talk about "Exceptionally Attentive Service" and they do not fall short. It is a great old property that is beautiful, sit in the lobby bar have an Old Fashioned and listen to the piano player. I have stayed at the Seelbach just down the street and this property to me is better because of the men and women working...
