This was the perfect choice for my visit to Kentucky. Being an animal lover, I adored all the animals (ODO, the Australian Shepherd, all the Kitties, and of course the horses). Jen was the perfect host, and I really enjoyed my Kentucky country homemade breakfast every morning, especially the Apple Cake!!! I also enjoyed a visit to the Kentucky Horse...

What a lovely place this Bed and Breakfast is! Not only a farm with friendly interactive cats, chickens, dog, and horses, but lovely Inn Keeper and family! I have not had a moment to really enjoy really quiet and peaceful down time as of the last few years, and I have always had a huge heart for little creatures. This was...

DO NOT RECOMMEND, especially if you have indoor pets; even if they are well mannered. I was moving from North Carolina to Cincinnati and was exhausted after hauling a dog and horse by myself, which took 17 hours. I let my dog, Kado, out to go to the restroom (I’ll admit I did not put him on his leash, and...

“A booking is a commitment we make to you. Once you have confirmed, we hold that room for you, turning down any consequent requests for your room during your reservation. That means if you cancel, and we are unable to refill the room for the nights we held for you, you are responsible for the reservation. It's about responsible, polite,...

Many Bed and Breakfasts have a strict adults-only policy. Others may welcome families, but their atmosphere would only keep the interest of older generations. First Farm Inn, located near Petersburg, Kentucky, is a Bed and Breakfast unlike any other! This is an ideal place to stay for a family vacation or mother-daughter getaway. First Farm Inn is the closest accommodation...

I met up with 3 college roommates from different states for a girls weekend recently. We enjoyed finding a place where we could all be together. Two of use, who have no contact with animals or each other in our lives daily, developed red itchy, painful bumps on our skin within 24 hours of leaving the inn. They were most...

It’s awful to have allergy problems. I’m sorry the girls did, but blaming us is simply dishonest. The allergies appeared on Monday. They left the house Sunday morning. Had they been bitten by fleas, they would have woken up Saturday morning with flea bites. They sent photos which showed an allergic reaction pattern unlike flea bites. Claiming one guest is...

My husband and I stayed at First Farm Inn for 2 nights as part of our anniversary trip. We loved it and wished we could stay longer but we had to get back to our kids. The food was great, the house was clean and in order and Jen was very friendly. The 3 of us took a ride for...

“I moved to the Ashley Extended Stay. The Ashley Extended Stay is immaculate and quiet. It has a full kitchen, great linens, DVD library, home baked cookies, fresh fruit, great coffee, hot chocolate, pop corn, full Internet and cable TV service, breakfast each morning and cocktails and appetizers at night. The front desk people are most hospitable. Riding horses can be done almost anywhere in that area.”
