On our way to or from Gatlinburg, we travel US25 to go through the Cumberland Gap on this scenic route. A great stop off for us is having lunch at the Pine Mountain State Resort. The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. You sit among the tops of mountains in an absolutely breathtaking view. No outside noises... More

The lodge at Pine Mountain is in a beautiful setting with an incredible view, especially from the dining room. The buildings are older but the rooms have been recently updated, bathrooms are all tiled. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Television reception is very poor. When we inquired about it, the desk manager apologized saying the cable system... More

Nice updated room with a small kitchen set. Had a large fridge with a wine rack :) the view from the deck and restaurant could not be better. Bathroom is a little small. Only ate at the lodge due to the park's remoteness... Would not recommend the food there. Not good, frequently cold, service was slow and unprofessional.

We stayed here for two nights for a BMW motorcycle getaway. The lodge was neat and tidy. Part of the original lodge is incorporated into the new areas. We had a lodge room, and it was clean and comfortable, with a balcony and great views of the mountains and valleys. The staff was helpful, and there was plenty of parking.... More

This is a state park in Prineville, just about 10 miles from the TN border at the Cumberland Gap. They have golf, a new zip line, hiking, a pool and lots of other outdoor activities to enjoy. There are lots of other attractions in the general area and Lexington is about 2 hours away. There is history galore and lost... More

I have spent quite a few weekends at this resort park in Southeastern Kentucky. It is tucked away in Pineville, KY in the Appalachian foothills. Rustic and quiet, this park is perfect for families, couples and friends. You can choose to stay in the lodge or rent a cabin. The restaurant is just okay, service is spotty but the view... More

We spent three nights in a 2 bedroom cabin at Pine Mountain State Resort Park and were quite pleased with our accomodations. The check-in process was quick and pleasant. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, the television worked and the back porch was pleasant to sit on. About the only thing that wasn't perfect were... More

Pine Mountain State Park is a beautiful park located in Southeastern Kentucky about 15 miles north of Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. The park is a wonderful place for those who would like to experience the Appalachian Mountains in an unspoiled manner without all of the carnival atmosphere. It is a hikers paradise with many trails to follow. Another bonus... More

The grounds and room were nice. However, after we tried to turn on the TV we discovered it didn't work. To their credit, they gave us a credit and offered to switch us. I was under the impression there would be WiFi in the cabins - there is NOT. When I checked out, the clerk was unfriendly. The WiFi in... More
