Please DO NOT HESITATE to make your reservations and stay at A Storybook Inn if you are in the Lexington area. The attention to detail, level of service and wonderful dining are just the start of what we experienced. Elise, Veronica and the staff made a stress-filled previous 3 months melt away upon arrival. It is our new destination location...

A Storybook Inn is named perfectly. This is a charming B&B. It has been beautifully restored and updated. It is extremely well maintained and many details have been met. The rooms are beautifully decorated with warmth and flare. Elise, the owner, brings her own warmth and flare as well. She is committed to providing her guest with the hospitality of...

I am the naturally suspicious type. If something sounds too good to be true then I tend to think that it is. My wife and I booked a recent six-night stay at the Storybook Inn on the back of a great many superlative reviews on Tripadvisor and yet at the same time I was expecting to discover that many of...

I wanted to take my wife somewhere special for our 30th wedding anniversary, and I will say I am very hard to impress. I searched online for just the right place and I found it at the Storybook Inn! We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before, so I was a little nervous about it. But upon driving...

My wife and I stayed at the Storybook Inn in September, 2012 while we toured the area Bourbon Distilleries and horse farms. The Inn was everything it was billed as and more. It was comfortable, clean and beautiful and we probably had two of the best breakfasts we have ever had. Elise the Innkeeper is obviously a gourmet cook and...

Five women had a "girls weekend" here in August 2012. We had a cottage all to ourselves. It was simply fabulous. Every comfort imaginable was provided. Big screen tv to watch the Olympics, enough beds for all of us, luxury bath products, incredible breakfasts. The owner was charming and helped us sort out all the wonderful tourist and dining opportunities...

After a long day on the Bourbon Trail of Kentucky and with an active second day planned, my wife and I wanted some place other than a Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn but in rural Kentucky, that's a tall order. Imagine our surprise in finding Elise Buckley and her lovely Southern Living styled Guest House at Storybook Inn. Every...

Staying at A Storybook Inn is like stepping into the pages of your favorite love story. With rooms named for famous romances, such as Gone with the Wind and Somewhere in Time, you can't help but feel that love is in the air - certainly in the well-stocked bookcases and selection of DVDs! The entire inn is so beautifully decorated,...

My sisters and I recently returned from a weeklong stay at A Storybook Inn in Versailles, Kentucky. The Inn is a haven of Southern civility and charm, a reflection of the owner Ms. C. Elise Buckley. Surrounded by a wide expanse of lawn with lovely trees, the Inn sits well off the road and there is no intrusion of traffic...

My wife, daughter and I just completed a wonderful three-night stay at Storybook. Simply put, it is the the nicest place we have ever stayed, and we have traveled a bit (at least before our daughter was born!). The inn is located in the small town of Versailles, about a 15-20 minute drive to Lexington and the Horse Park. The...
