Stayed in the Upperlands part of the campground. Most sites are very nice with full hook ups, grill, fire ring and most sites have a wooden deck. Lowerlands not very well kept up and only water and electricity. Some sites are on water of some kind (pond, creek, but not the river) and nicely shaded. Lowerlands are the obvious older...

The Bogue Chitto State Park cabin area is a gem to the Franklinton, LA area. The cabin I stayed in slept a total of 8 guests, it was spacious, clean, a great view on the back porch, and right off the walking trail. The walking trail and tubing is a must when staying for the weekend. The cabin consist of...

The park looks well maintained, the facilities were clean and there were plenty of shower and bath houses throughout the park. We had a great site...

Cabins are nice and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Water Park is AWESOME, for the young children. The beach is ok and the trails are excellent, well marked and covered with stone. The weather was good for our trip and we had a fun time. We will consider a return trip.

I believe this is the State of Louisiana’s newest park and it offers a unique setting. One of the park’s highlights is a natural gorge, with a nice boardwalk meandering through it. There are several fishing ponds and equestrian trails throughout the park. The cabins are modern and only a few years old, complete with a wood-burning fireplace, nice furnishings...
