This place is ideal for hosting groups of customers, or having a family reunion. It is charming. The service is amazing, accommodations are really nice and comfortable, and the food was top-notch. The dining area and bar are really cool! Fishing guides are about 20 mins away. 2 boats caught tons of trout and redfish, and ours wasn't so great....

Clean, beautiful country style accommodations with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Really enjoyed the food at their restaurant in the old, historic church. You just have to watch out for the "lightening bolts" when you're enjoying cocktails at the really cool bar area in the same building. The food was fantastic !! The fishing was "ok", but not great. But that's...

We enjoyed our two-night stay very much. We were in the Delta as first-time visitors. We came as educators wishing to learn about the ecosystem and had a great time doing it. Folks at Woodland Plantation were very personable. Our rooms in the Caretaker's House were remarkable in how well they were redesigned and space was reallocated for our comfort....

We discovered this place by accident and we are glad we did! While this isn't budget accommodation or meals, it is worth it. The staff were ultra friendly and very helpful. Our room was beautiful and quiet. The main plantation home is a real treasure to behold. Beautiful sweeping veranda and views. There is a little walking path on the...

I visit here 2-3 times per year, and have been for the past ten years. I bring 15-20 people with me every time I go and Foster and his staff always take very good care of us and have never let us down. The place is great place to stay with much charm and nice grounds -but my favorite part...

This was our third stay at Woodland, and it is consistently an outstanding place to stay. The staff is extremely efficient and friendly, the food (evening meals, Thanksgiving dinner, breakfast) was wonderful. We go to relax, some visit to go fishing with a guide and enjoy Louisiana's outstanding fishing. We stayed in the Big House and there are several historical...

I stayed at Woodland Plantation last night after wining and dining in Spirits Hall, its restaurant. I dined with two friends at seven p.m. While the meal was expensive (for me) at $55 each plus tax and tip, it was as good as most high end restaurants in New Orleans. In one way, the meal was better because the appetizer...

My son and I stayed here to see another view of the state after visiting New Orleans. it was utterly relaxing. We loved the rocking chairs on the porch and the swing in the yard. The staff was accommodating and dinner was amazing. I had local Gulf fish and a nice white wine. We met interesting travelers at dinner. Breakfast...

Very friendly staff & owner. Comfortable, excellent food & service. The surrounding grounds are well kept &, along with the levee trail, are excellent & interesting places to walk. The photos on the interior walls tell the history of Woodland. Watching the resident alligators in the pond behind the house is an unusual attraction.

I arrived here after dark and was directed to my room in a different house than the reception. It was pitch black so I didn't see much of the house but it looked big. Found my room and it felt almost like sleeping in a museum. I couln't here any other guests but didn't look closely. Woke up early next...
