Went to finca with my boyfriend and stayed at Casa Perezosa, everything about our stay was incredible. We were lucky to be the only guest for most of our stay and got to enjoy the property completely to ourselves. The service was great, we enjoyed everything from morning hikes to the waterfall and river pools to our natural juice made...

Hi there! Glad to hear you enjoyed your time at the finca, and have recommended this time of the year for others to visit. We love having visitors during off season, as it allows a much more expansive experience for you and a slower pace to enjoy all of the little things that can be overlooked when it is busy!...

So my husband and I stayed at the finca for 5 nights and it was pretty amazing! We loved being in the elements of the jungle. Just hearing the sounds and being out with others who enjoyed nature was awesome! The food was fresh and great, although it didn't seem most of it came from their own gardens like they...

So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at the finca! Matt & Amy were contacted by Mowgli's breeder shortly after his passing and they now have M.J. (Mowgli Junior) who is a blessing like his brother. We hope to see you again!

What an amazing experience FBV was! We read the website and all the tips to traveling to Finca many times before arriving. I felt really well prepared when we got there. We stayed in one of the smallest cabins available, about 15 minutes from base camp. It ended up being perfect, and just the amount of space that we needed....

Thank you so much for the review! WE are glad to hear that you enjoyed the vibe and the meals, and that the slow season was noted. It is our favorite time of the year as well, and we love that visitors appreciate it.

I just spent 4 wonderful days at this Finca in the rain forest. As a woman of 75 I found the walking trails challenging, but I loved our Casa, loved the staff, food, things to do while there, even though I meant to do more than I actually did - it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience I am so glad...

Checking in for a Mother/daughter backpacking trip-you are of course well prepared having read the advice on the website. Matt & Amy were at the office to greet us after arriving on a red-eye from flat Fort Lauderdale. What a wonderful testament to staff. We were given a full tour and explanation about the community. We were even introduced to...

We are so happy that your FBV mother/daughter trip made it in to the category of 'Forever Memory' for the two of you. (: We hope you have many future travels and adventures ahead of you to share together, and that you'll make it back this way sometime!

I don't even know where to start...everything was fabulous!! Ok, here's where to start. READ their website carefully. This place is really not for everyone. But if you have a sense of adventure, pretty physically fit and rented a 4x4 you'll love Finca. Let me thank Matt and Amy for all the pre-trip planning and were around to answer questions...

Thanks for sharing your experience with our future visitors! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that the crew was so helpful in creating this experience for you. We are definitely an alternative to the "cookie cutter resorts", for sure! That's a good way to put it (:

Fincabella vista is an amazing and unique place unlike anything we have ever seen before. Originally we were only planning to stay for two nights but we loved it so much that we ended up staying for four! We spent our days sitting on the porch watching the wildlife, swimming in one of the many swimming holes, hiking around the...

We actually traveled last month and still each day at some point (especially after a hard work day) we say 'remember we slept in a tree!' We can't say enough about our finca experience. The simple life of hiking, swimming in the river, watching the birds was easily enough to sustain a 3 night stay and we wish we could...

Although our trip to Costa Rica lasted for 10 nights we decided to spend most of them in the jungle. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea, when we left the place, because I wanted to see more wildlife. But the rest of our days there we spent on one day trips and I understood that nothing can...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community in the rainforest of Costa Rica! This village is a rustic, yet comfortable private retreat off the beaten path where owners and guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest canopy and enjoy treetop 'Pura Vida'. Finca Bellavista is not a full-service spa or fancy hotel. We are located in quiet corner of Costa Rica that is removed from many of the influences of the outside world. The nearest town (1.5 miles away) contains a school, a church, a pulperia, a bus stop, a handful of houses, and a soccer field. That's it. No souvenir shops, no mini-malls, and no rowdy bars. Finca Bellavista is for the traveller who wants to experience something truly different and special. We have acres of forest and gardens to explore, refreshing rivers, birdwatching, tours and much more. We look forward to hosting you in our rainforest home! ... more   less
