We stayed one night at this hotel while returning to Delhi from Jaipur. It is a long way off the main road, on roads that get increasingly dustier and uneven. The room was large and comfortable, but it's sad that the painted plasterwork is falling off the wall and the whole place is looking distinctly tired. No TV or WiFi...

Stopped for lunch en route to Jaipur. Extraordinary palace of the Rajah of Patan, now a boutique hotel largely in the middle of nowhere. The VJV coach couldn't get the "road" to the top where the Mahal is, so we were given the treatment of being hauled up on camel carts, running through the local village, where everyone seemed to...

Well..... this hotel was the 5th and final, on the main leg of our Great Rail Journeys , Golden Triangle Tour, and what a way to end..... Our bus could not make it up to the hotel, so we arrived on camel carts, led by a band, and loads of the locals greeting us, through the local narrow streets, then...

Patan Mahal is situated around 120 kms from Delhi. Its an old palace built around 13th century that has now been restored for travellers. We opted for the suite room and really loved the rustic royal look alongwith the modern amenities. Gave a feel as if time has stopped by. Multi coloured glasses, old fashioned bathroom tub, huge king-size bed...

What an outstanding welcome we recieved in such beautiful surroundings. A real walk back in time. The hotel has not changed its decor or appearance, not felt the need to update instead keeping the same beautiful charm from when it was first built. We had a lovely lunch there recieving excellent service whilst sat in the beautiful gardens. We visited...

Stayed here for one night at the end of our tour. Arrived on a camel cart led by a band with the villagers turned out to wave to us! The palace is definitely a bit faded but the setting and rooms were fantastic. We were treated to an evening banquet with dancers and entertainers which was wonderful and a great...

Stayed here for one night at the end of our Golden Triangle tour and I think we all would have welcomed the opportunity of staying longer! The staff were warm and welcoming and the rooms were absolutely amazing. I think all of us had rooms on the upper floors and everyone was more than pleased with them. Everything about this...
