We had wanted to stay nearer Bar Harbor in high season but left a booking until too late & found ourselves here. The door was locked but we were admitted & the room & en-suite were fine. Breakfast was a "help yourself" but had adequate variety. An ideal location if you want to visit the eastern Maine Medical Centre, or...

This hotel gives a steep discount to patients and families of patients using EMMC. It's a bit of a drive to the mall and restaurants if you're considering staying here for shopping purposes. The hotel is clean although it is an old property and there isn't much luxury. You can rent a microwave and refrigerator for an extra fee if...

Stayed here while my elderly 87 yr. father was having eye surgery and needed to return first thing in the morning. This is opened to the public. It is actually hooked to the Hospital through tunnels. It was originally used for nurses & Doctors years ago. At first impression it was pleasing. 2 rooms. 2 queen beds & bath in...

We found this place by accident some years ago and have stayed there several times since and we were satisfied each time. The second last time was in 2013 and our opinion of the place as acceptable continued. However, our opinion changed dramatically last Saturday night. When we stay in hotels we do the standard "bed bug protocol". This involves...

We have stayed here several times in the past but our experience this week was terrible! The room was so dirty that it concerns me with people staying here then carrying those germs to their loved ones in the hospital. I picked up the phone to call the front desk and the phone cradle was crusted with dirt. Plus there...

Once you learn this used to be a nurses' dorm, you can appreciate the design of this place. It is functional. ..you don't go here for a holiday, you go there because you have business in the area. It even has a tunnel to the hospital. Bed was comfy, my room overlooked the river which was a plus. It is...

This hotel is very outdated and the staff isn't overly friendly. That being said, we were only here for one night as a last resort and it was a fine stay. We had no problems, and it was cleanly. So for a place to lay your head, it was fine.

The location was convenient for me as my partner was admitted and I had no place to stay. Traveling from the hospital through the corridors to the hospital saved me from going outside in the snow. I would not pay the nightly rate that was posted on the door. They give discounts to loved ones in need of a place....

I stayed here while my Mom was in the hospital at EMMC both in August and Sept. The rooms seemed dirty. Saw dirt on walls and the carpets looked filthy. They do not look like they have been shampooed in years. There were 2 rooms I stayed in that had a funky odor. Lysol spray did not even help. The...

Stayed here 1 night while my mother was a patient at EMMC. After a long day at the hospital I make the trek through the hospital corridors over to the Riverside. I was given a key to a room on the 3rd floor. The key would not work and I then had to haul my luggage back downstairs to tell...
