This truly is our favorite place in the world. The cottage is simple and clean. Bunny is friendly but not intrusive. The scenery is gorgeous and the quiet is bliss. First you have to understand Bass Harbor is a working lobster village. It is not a frou frou town with ice cream stands and souvenir shops like Bar Harbor which is about 30 minutes away. We recently spent a week at the cottage at Bass Harbor Gables. Both decks are framed by wild rose bushes.
