We love camping in Acadia. This campground is one of our favorites. A short walk to the lighthouse and friendly staff. Love the cabins when we need them, otherwise the tent sites are perfect on this beautiful island.

campgrounds offered showers, laundry, pool...bonus was could walk to lighthouse for sunset. Quiet & away from the crowds around Bar Harbor. We enjoyed our stay and took advantage of the bus stop right in front of campgrounds

I was also mislead when I booked a site here. I was told that the road behind the "C" section was hardly used at all. There was easily over 100 cars traveling on the Light House road, not to mention the garbage truck early in the am. The sites are very close together. The sites on the other side appeared...

For 30 dollars a night, my boyfriend and I reserved a "primitive" tent site—that is no electricity/water hookups of any kind. When we arrived at the campground, the check-in was fast and easy, but the campground itself is disappointing. The campsites are very very close to one another; I could hardly back my car out of our site without nearly...

We stayed in site 108 with a 12x12 tent, which made the site a bit cramped, but we understand our tent is huge. The site was close to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were always cleans and showers were always available. There was a sink to do dishes which is nice. They have a small pool, playground, and rec room, but...

We like this campground for several reasons. While the sites are small, there are a few with platforms that are very helpful for keeping the tent out of puddles in heavy rain. There is a small building that serves as a game room. There is television available in that building, as well as ping pong tables and picnic tables. We...

I am beyond disappointed with this place and our sites I specifically asked when booking for a quiet private site I got the complete opposite I'm am literally 10 feet from a main street ( when booking I asked about this road and the woman told me no one uses it )that's quite the obvious lie .... headlights and road...

This campground is nearly 30 minutes from Bar Harbor & most of Acadia. It's a secluded respite away from it all but near Seawall, Wonderland, & Ship Harbor trail. The Bass Harbor light is a pleasant, if a bit steep walk, with a view of the bay. our original site was not the best site for our rig but they...

Our group has camped at many campgrounds but few can match Bass Harbor Campground. Here's what we like: 1. Secluded - away from crowds and touristy things. 2. Trees - our campsite was in a forest, the way camping is supposed to be. 3. The most polite people - everyone on staff greeted me with a smile and was extremely...

Found this to be a very friendly campground with lots of very nice people. The facilities are clean, and the wifi is better than most. Enjoying our stay here very much. The pool is very clean and well maintained. Will definitely return if we come this way again.

Thank Mary M
