We enjoyed a weekend stay at the Mill Hill Inn. The door opens into a relaxing & friendly great room with 2 comfortable sitting areas, a bar & a blazing woodstove. Our room #5 was perfect. Breakfasts were simple but tasty; Sunday's was French toast, sausage, sliced apples, blueberry garnish & maple syrup. A truly enjoyable inn.

Mill Hill was a good spot to host a large family gathering. The vibe and decor is very, very casual and that worked for us as we had 5 children in our group. The suites have a lot of space. Coffee at breakfast was good and evening cocktails were creative.

My husband and I have been to the Mill Hill Inn several times so when we decided to get married at Sunday River we knew right away that we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner there. The meal was absolutely amazing and our guests felt so at home. Woody and Lee created a great menu, were so attentive to the...

For the past two winters, my son and I stayed with Woody and his wife Lee while attending a ski race camp at Sunday River. I could write volumes about the neatness of this place but will keep it short when I tell you the rooms are very comfortable and well kept, the breakfast is always hearty and better than...

We have NEVER stayed at a more family-friendly, cozy, relaxed place ... and we have stayed at a few over the years. We spent a holiday weekend with our son and his family, which includes four children ages 1yr to 11yrs old. It was so enjoyable - the kids had a great time, Woody and Lee were absolutely welcoming, and...

We arrived here on a cold night and instantly felt like we were joining a family party. The heart of this place are the owners, Lee and Woody, both of whom are characters. They are warm, open, fun, laid back and sincere. They are really focused on delivering a great experience and manage to do so in a very personal...

My husband, 13 year old son and I had a wonderful stay at the inn. We had the spacious top floor suite and were very comfortable. The owners were welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Had a great dessert at the small bar but didn't arrive in time for dinner. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful. We will definitely be back!

we had a large party (8 adults and 5 kids) and got great accommodations in the inn. We were able to get ourselves comfortably situated in 2 king rooms and 1 huge double level suite. Everything about the accommodations were great including a dinner on the night we arrived (see separate review in restaurants). The only reason i am not...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Mill Hill Inn, originally a barn built in the 1870s, was first converted into a private home in 1948 and then into a B & B in 1977. Lee and Woody Hughes purchased the inn in April of 2010 and renovated this wonderful structure from top to bottom during that summer. The newly renamed Mill Hill Inn opened its doors September 9, 2010. The inn is located just off the historic district on the north end of the Bethel Common, on a secluded acre and a half. This private setting is beautifully landscaped with both ornamental, vegetable, and herb gardens, producing food and flowers for the inn. The leveled lawn space adjacent to the front door area provides ample space for a 30' x 50' tent, suitable for weddings and private affairs. The Studio Bistro & Bar offer a unique menu and a full bar, served in the Great Room as well as in our dining room. The inn has six rooms, two of which are suites. All rooms come with new king sized beds, all cotton bedding, and private baths. The suites provide guests with kitchens and can sleep six to eight people. Rent one room or the entire inn, which can comfortably sleep twenty-two guests. PRICES: STARTING FROM $109 - $119, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY, SUITES - $139, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ... more   less
