The venue is outside from the town of Bethel by only about ten or so miles. The road itself is nice because you get to see the country and it even loops around through the White Mtn National Forest and back into Bethel. There are pristine streams, quiet, forest, and wildlife abounding this lodge property. A feeling of shelter and...

5 city chicks- as we called ourselves that day- picked dogsledding as a new activity to experience in the beautiful mountains around Bethel Maine. And boy were we rewarded. It was an amazing experience.! The whlole day was so genuine, so real, so fun, so forever engraved in our hearts. Ok we are not your typical "city chicks" we love...

In search of a little fun and adventure not far from home (Boston area) we found the Telemark Inn & New England Dogsledding. I have 2 kids (10 & 11) and both had an absolutely amazing time. All of the reviews here speak of all of the high points of the trip. The dogs, the sledding, the learning that the...

My grandchildren (ages 11 & 13) and I spent 3 magical days at the Telemark Inn Wilderness Lodge with Steve, Leo, Jess & the dogs! Our 2 days of dogsledding were simply amazing! The dogs are beautiful, friendly & love to run! As others here have pointed out, this is not a Hilton Resort vacation, but is a warm friendly...

We had a great time at the Telemark Inn. Leo, Alex, and Steve were awesome hosts and clearly go to great lengths to keep their animals and guests happy. Every meal was wonderful, the house was clean, and there is plenty to do. We decided to do a dog sledding package, but even though there was no snow while we...

The staff were very friendly and gracious hosts. There's plenty to do (especially if you like spending time with dogs!) dog-sledding, horseback riding, carriage riding, hiking, or relaxing in the cabin. If you're active, you can run with younger dogs to train them for dog-sledding, and if you'd rather take it slow, you can hang out with cats, llamas, horses,...

We had an extraordinary stay at this extraordinary lodge, formerly owned by the establisher of Prudential Insurance as present-day owner Steve will inform you. If we weren't so pressed for time to "do New England" in a one-week road trip, we certainly would have stayed. Using tripadvisor we specifically searched for an off-the-beaten-track experience and BOY did we get what...

I spent the most enjoyable fall week at the Telemark Inn. it is very inviting.....warm & cozy, very peaceful, secluded yet not too remote. Leo is a great cook......best eggs I have ever had in my life! The fall foliage was breathtaking! If you are an outdoor enthusiast & animal lover, you must check this place out! We hiked around...

The Telemark Inn is one of my favorite getaways on the East Coast. I've gone several times over the past few years and love it each time. Nestled against the White Mountains National Forest, I was able to hike out directly from the Lodge on a 6 mile loop to a granite crest that overlooked breathtaking valleys and forests. The...

“The rooms are all the same, it's an authentic lodge. If white linens and granite counters are what you're looking for, you won't find it here. The Telemark Inn is ripe with ambiance.”
