The hotel is OK, nothing great but decent, but more than hotel, I like the food. Food is just awesome so more than hotel I would recommend the food. Worth a try so good luck with the food menu. Huzayf

My review is of their restaurant alone. Certainly one of the best South Indian Restaurants that you would find in Kochi. The Food, Ambience, Service and Location is all great.Great job done by management in maintaining standards over a period of time. The Dosa's and Rasam rice are a must for me during my visit.

Been to this place as a regular customer since my childhood. The food item that i liked in dwaraka is rasa vada. Most of the south indian dishes are good. Excellent preparation is being made to serve food hot. Mouth watering north indian dishes are available at appropriate timings. Good place for meetings to be conducted. Wish Dwarka hotel all the best in upcoming years. -------------Sreeraj G.Pai

Smelly rooms/improper ventilation
The complementary buffet breakfast (which itself had to be fought for) is just one item (dosa/vada, whatever) byt limited to just 1 item. if you are hungry and ask for a second item - they make it a point saying it's not free and chargeable

Kochi or Cochin was visited after many years. So chose Dwarka on MG Road by default. We were two of us and we were given the most expensive double room (2500/- plus taxes per day).
The room was musty- the beds must have been put in 1920's. In spite of asking they could not or would not change the mattress. It took a special contortionist effort to ensure that one did not get hurt whilst sleeping on that bed.
The room service- Less said the better. House keeping / room service / reception were freely interchangeable and uniformly sad. Each one was passing the buck to the other.
The restaurant was decent, though. Average south Indian veg food, modest pricing. In the restaurant, the service was ok so long as the north Indians served you. Yes, the labour shortage has got to Kochi also and most serving jobs are with the migrants. They are a pleasant change from the rude locals.
Checking in, checking out etc was a pain. They had one ancient credit card swipe machine and it took me twenty minutes to put through the final swipe on the machine. They simply do not have a second one!!
The location is good, smack in the heart of MG Road. There are other hotels also on the same road that should be better.
Age has caught up with the hotel and the reluctance of the owners to refurbish is very obvious.

I would strongly urge visitors to Kochi to avoid this hotel. If this is the only hotel where rooms are available, postpone the trip.

Location is easily accessible and the staff are very friendly. Room service is prompt and good. Very good veg restaurant with South Indian delicacies. They don't have a dry bathroom and no LCD TV. Gives a typical lodge like feeling.

Located on MG Road, the chief shopping area in the city, it's a nondescript building that one might miss if driving by fast. However, I found outward appearances to be certainly deceptive in this case.

There is a parking lot for hotel guests & restaurant customers adjacent to the entrance & the security guard/doorkeeper is quick to direct you to a parking spot & help guests with their luggage.

Check-in was quick & I was provided an a.c. double room on the third floor. The lift was a tad slow & small, being able to accommodate a maximum of 4 adults at one go.

The room was fair in terms of space & tidiness & had all the basic amenities, considering that it is a budget hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find the bathroom equipped with modern & user-friendly fixtures. It seemed to be renovated more recently in comparison to the room. Unlike here, I've observed that even in the most trendy-looking hotels, the bathrooms fail to have the most basic towel-stands, hooks or a cabinet, a decent counter-top to place your daily essentials.

Since it is located on the main road, the windows don't offer much by way of a view. Nevertheless, the location is convenient for shopping as most branded retail shops & many provision stores are at a walking distance. However, I didn't see too many local retailers in the hotel's proximity.

The food at the vegetarian restaurant on the first floor is average. Hot water is served to drink for the purpose of hygiene & safety.

Room service is snail-paced & the staff have difficulty in comprehending language other than Tamil & the native tongue.

Discounting this, I would say I had an agreeable stay here.
