Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Had a temple wedding at the neighbouring Paramara devi temple and was put up in this hotel which was centrally located, conveniently accessible to the Kochi Metro and a stone's throw away from Ernakulam North railway junction.
Contrary to some of the reviews below, I found the staff friendly and even willing to go the extra mile to tend to our requests. The breakfast buffet spread was decent, and the rooms squeaky clean.
As a guest, you get more than just value for what you pay here. Highly recommended for a no frills budget stay or a short business trip.

The hotel lobby seems pretty nice, but had a horrible smell; the staff said there was some form of leak. The rooms were ok. The whole place gave off an old vibe but not in a vintage/good sort of way, kinda like a dejected aura. The best part was the roof top restaurant, the view of the city was. spectacular.

Hotel Presidency near North Railway station has all necessary facilities and the 100+ rooms, restaurants and bar etc make the hotel comfortable for stay with family and for business purposes. Being located centrally, all major business centers are accessible from the hotel. The Hotel has Conference halls, roof top restaurant, bar etc and with 100+ rooms is good for group booking too. Last month I stayed there for two days, the town was flooded during those days and only few guests were there in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive and overall the stay was ok. With proper maintenance the hotel will be one of the best in the town.

We booked this hotel for all the reasons in the title. What we ended up with is an overpriced average hotel. The rooms were clean. Bed comfortable. No black out curtains so sun directly in the room. Next door to a mosque so call to prayer woke us up each morning at 5am. The staff were very helpful except perhaps the owner who tried to stop us using the bar on the ground floor of the hotel telling us we had to use the roof top bar..I asked if it was because I was female. We insisted and stayed. We later discovered that the bar on the roof top charges 100 rupees more for each bottle of beer. No Wi-Fi in our room no tv no pool - not good value.

The hotel lobby looks good and is spacious. Late in the night, its all lights out. I agree that lights may be dimmed or minimal lights, however, here it was pitch dark. Upon inquiry to the staff, its apparently mgmt's instruction. We were leaving very early in the morning and had difficulty identifying the lobby.
They keep turning off the water heater switch and in spite of calling them to turn it on, they would still turn it off within minutes.
Breakfast was on another floor and food was from ground floor and thus food was cold and only limited items.
Poor service and the rooms don't live up to the first impression of the lobby. Thus, the hotel is highly priced.

We had bedbugs in our bed!!! The room was small, the staff was not friendly, the hotel a bit old and the surroundings were not very nice. I can not recommend this hotel. The only good thing I can mention is the restaurant. We had a very polite waiter and the food was good as well.

I have booked room on clear trip but when I went to hotel they have given me totally different room .. room was like a c grade then I was forced to contact clear trip people I took snaps of the room n sent mail to clear trip then they have changed room it was just like cheating
I will advise just don't kill trust of people so I will advice people avoid this hotel even location is also not so good ya lobby is very good break fast was good

This Hotel was like a second home for me during my Kerala Stint. Great Location, Good Clean Room, Good Service & Reasonable Tariff. This is best suited for Business travelers as it is just 2 minutes walk from North Railway Station and North Bridge Bus stand.

Location- Not the best one . You have to explain it to the cab driver. Though later realize the Hotel is quite well-known in that area. Room- Large enough. All Basic amenities were present in the room. Bathroom- Good. Well designed. Staff- Helpful and cooperative. Swimming Pool- It’s not working. Some construction work going on. Hotel should provide such information on website so that people don’t feel cheated once they find out that they cannot use the pool. I was disappointed . Restaurant – Its good and food was tasty . Annoying Fact- In Room and bathroom they have placed notes that Hotel provide only these items in package and in case you want more it will be charged. Come on guys we all know it. You need not to place the notes everywhere about it. Please remove those. Overall- Decent hotel and little far away from sightseeing areas .

A large hotel in Cochin with nice rooms, we actually had a bath in the bathroom as well as a shower which was nice. Rooftop pool and bistro/coffee shop and also restaurant and gym. The only down side was they had no licence and therefore we were at a loss as to what to do once we had had dinner as there was nowhere to relax over a drink. The restaurant had air con blowing full blast which made it too cold to linger over coffee. There was also too many staff who stifled you and watched every move and virtually picked up your knife and fork for you. We felt we had to whisper in order to have a conversation. We felt we couldn't even discuss the menu together without them forcing themselves upon us. We also asked for a bottle of cold water which arrived tepid. Breakfast was a very varied buffet which we could have also enjoyed more if it had not been for the over attentive staff.
