Synopsis: likely the best hotel in Brunswick. Very well located, near the college. The facilities and rooms are reasonably well maintained and pleasantly furnished. The tavern food is solid and bar service very friendly. The curious challenge is the staff. While generally pleasant they seem utterly incapable of responding well to any atypical event requiring independent thought. Example: the table...

I was hoping this would be a bit more charming then what it turned out to be. That being said rooms were your standard size, clean and comfortable. I was worried when we checked in. It took 10 minutes to get the front desk person to give us any attention to check in because she took 2 phone calls to...

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Maine. Very nice hotel. Spacious bedrooms, friendly staff, nice bar. Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. It's a great location for exploring the surrounding area.

Had a very pleasant two-night stay here in cold March weather. Location was easy to reach by rental car from Portland, convenient but small parking lot by check-in entrance. Room was nicely appointed and good temperature controls. Coffeemaker in room, strong wifi, good linens and amenities. I arrived after 11pm bc of long flight delays and was really looking forward...

Let's start off with the good: Location - downtown Brunswick. Comfortable beds. Unfortunately, as I do not like to have to give poor reviews, here's the bad: Lack of professionalism from check-in, dining, to check-out service. Check-in took over 15 minutes (3 people behind the counter - 2 were chatting socially while one did check-ins). We reserved the option to...

We went for a weeknight dinner. Food was great with good portion size. Drinks and dessert were also great. Went on whiskey Wednesday. Definitely recommend the crab cakes crab artichoke dip and lobster scampi.

Great location by Bowdoin.Dinner and breakfast were decent, but good burger. Nice rooms, comfortable bed and lobby. Accommodating with computer use. Helpful with what to see. Messed up with reservation and they were accommodating.

Thank you for being so kind to my college-student daughter and my dog!! It was a wonderful welcome with dog biscuits. Then coffee in the lobby the next morning. The room was great. The only downside was the small parking lot and no room service...

Management response:

Hello Lucy Victoria P, we happily welcome all family members who travel to MidCoast Maine. I am pleased to say that the large snow pile in the parking lot has been removed opening up a number of parking spaces. We hope to see you again soon. Rick
