I mean your options are pretty limited up here, so you have to take what you can get. I was traveling alone and appreciated that they put me in the room closest to the front office, but the furnishings were soooo dated that I was glad I was only here for 12 hours or so. There are limited outlets (so...

We have stayed here twice on our way to Nova Scotia. The motel is old and a bit dated, but it is clean and comfortable. And reasonably priced when you're just using it as a place to catch some sleep! It is also conveniently located very close to the older border crossing. We crossed at about 8:00am on a Friday...

very nice $150 for the night, spacious with a king bed and a nice view over the river and nice spa bath tub, had kettle which was nice but the free wifi was very poor, it was literally the last bed to be had in town and we were lucky to get a bed before arriving at border

We were visiting friends in Alexander and stayed at the hotel for two nights. For us it was conveniently located. Staff members were super friendly and helpful. The room was simple and clean. Nice balcony to sit and watch birds and the tidal basin. We ate at Karen's diner in town for breakfast and were happy.

Stayed here for the area's 4th of July festivities. We were just looking for a place to sleep, and spent most of the time out of the hotel room. The room was a good size for the price. Only complaint was it smelled slightly smoky. Average amenities, and helpful staff!

On our trip through Maine we (3 Germans) stayed here in the spacious Riverview units for one relaxing night after a long drive, had a nice river walk overlooking the Canadian border and were very happy about the dinner next door, recommended by the friendly front desk. We were very pleased with our stay, when we went back to the...

We stay at the International Motel in Calais about 5 times a year. Comfortable bed, clean and have a microwave and fridge in all rooms. Diner next door for a great home cooked meal. Good sized rooms, small TV, but hey, we are not there to watch TV.

We have stayed here several times while our son was going to Washington County Community College, and we love it! The rooms are clean and have a vintage feel. There is free wi-fi. The staff members are pleasant, helpful, and friendly. The beds are comfortable. Remember that there are no blow dryers provided!

I was late arriving at the airport which meant I would arrive at the Motel after the office had closed. I called Dan at the desk and he suggested a way to get the key to me after hours which worked tremendously well. The room was as he promised and, since it was off season, he did not require a...

As other reviewers have stated, this is a basic, no-frills motel with dated decor. Front desk is only open until 10pm, so be sure to check in by then! They do offer both smoking and non-smoking rooms, however I believe they simply put a sign on the desk that says it is a non-smoking room if that is what you...
