If you are looking for a quick getaway, a romantic experience, or a scenic family vacation, this is a great place. The cabin we stayed in (my girlfriend and I) was perfect for us. Very clean, romantic and overall perfect. The complimentary breakfast was small but perfect for what we wanted to start up the morning. The lodge manager was...

We received a 2 night stay at The Lodge at Camden Hills as a gift from a family member. We stayed in a cottage, with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. It was well-appointed, and cozy, yet roomy. The bedroom was enormous, and the entire unit was impeccably clean. It really felt like a home away from home. In fact, our...

WOW, thank you for your wonderful review. We want all our guests to feel as you do. We have been at it for over 42 years and feedback from our guests enable us to make each year better and better. Sailing on the Penobscot bay is a tremendous draw to the mid coast and I'm glad you took advantage of...

My husband and I have been coming to the lodge for two years now in March for a 4-5 day, quiet, relaxing getaway. We love the fireplaces in all the rooms and cozy linens on the beds. One of our favorite parts about the stay is lounging in the comfy bathrobes with a cup of coffee and snacking on the...

We'd love to take the credit for the morning pastries, whether fresh croissants or muffins, but they are from French and Brawn, made fresh every morning for all to enjoy. French and Brawn is definitely a great treasure and is one of the many unique shops that make Camden Maine a great destination on the Mid-Coast. It's always nice to...

We checked into The Lodge for a getaway weekend and were more than pleasantly surprised by the charm of our cabin. Beautifully clean, with everything in its place. Tastefully appointed with modern (albeit small) kitchen, beautiful bathroom and Jacuzzi, and arguably the most comfortable mattress ever. With the mountain in your backyard, and great views of the ocean in your...

Decided to come back to Camden for a long weekend with my fiancé and rather than going to the Hawthorn Inn which we had a great experience with last May, we decided on the Lodge at Camden Hills. Turned out to be the worst mistake ever. First it took 3 days for the room to heat up to 70 degrees....

We are sorry that you had a bad time at The Lodge. Of course, we don't like to have any quests feel that their needs were not addressed. We did everything we could to accommodate you. We do try to conserve energy and so we turn up the heat from 55 to 65 in early afternoon before guests check in...

My fiancé and I went here for our anniversary just to relax and to get away. Our cottage was beautiful!! Carissa, the manager was a blessing! I wanted some last minute items/romance added to our room and she went out of her way to do that for me. While we were there it was so easy to talk to her...

I was looking for a quiet weekend for relaxation and to get some much needed reading done. I stayed in the Penobscot cottage and I highly recommend it! It's the last on the property and it's very quiet. Had everything I needed. I cooked most of my meals as there is a kitchen (no oven) but it was perfect and...

We loved our stay at the Lodge at Camden Hills! The cottage was very clean and perfectly equipped for two. We had a major blizzard while visiting, but we were prepared and there was plenty of room in the 1/2 size fridge for our groceries. While we couldn't do any major cooking, the 2-burner stove and microwave meant we could...

We are so happy you enjoyed yourselves while at the Lodge. It was always a treat to listen to your daily adventures. Our 7 year old granddaughter came up the week following your stay. We couldn't wait to strap on her show-shoes and play. We even got in some good ice-fishing. Hope you can return this summer when there are...

Our little cabin had a double-sided gas fireplace, a Jacuzzi, and thoughtful little details throughout. Breakfast was delivered daily to our door in a little basket. It was great to get away and nice to have the wi-fi in case we needed it!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Lodge at Camden Hills is one of the Camden's most scenic properties. Owned by the Burgess family for over forty years, the Lodge is a village of four cottages, four suites, and four standard rooms in five unique buildings across nine acres. With a view of Penobscot Bay ahead and Mount Battie directly behind us, it is easy to relax at the Lodge. Watch sailboats on the bay, wind-blown from island to island, from your private deck. Enjoy well-appointed, clean, and comfortable lodging. There is comfort in the privacy of your own space at the Lodge. Each room has a private entrance with parking and a deck with water views of Penobscot Bay. Our goal is to make our rooms as comfortable as possible. It is our experience that after a good night's sleep, Maine will work its magic on your mind and spirit! Our luxurious bedding by Cuddledown will lull you into a peaceful slumber. Our Maine-made comforters and pillows along with 400-thread count, 100% combed cotton bedding are inviting, soft, and comfortable. A continental breakfast basket is hung outside your door each morning so you can enjoy breakfast in your room at your leisure before heading out to explore the mid-coast. Start your morning with freshly-brewed coffee, tea, local baked goods, Maine-made Stonewall Kitchen jam, and orange juice. At day's end experience dramatically dark, star-filled skies, the robust smell of fir trees mixed with a little wood smoke, and cool air on your skin. Together these elements create an experience that is what Maine is all about. ... more   less
