We stayed at Birchwood as part of a 10 day motorcycle trip around the area. We connected with Jenny, the Innkeeper, immediately upon arrival and could have easily opened a bottle of wine and chatted happily with her for hours! It is great to find a place to stay where the owner’s principles of living are so closely aligned with...

This was our second and third stay here at this great gem of a place. We wanted something simple to rest our heads for the night while on our Coastal Maine vacation. Jenny and her husband take great care and pride running this family owned lodge. Let me recommend the Corner King Room which we were able to reserve on...

From the phone call making the reservation to the check-in, Jennie, the innkeeper, was welcoming, outgoing and personable and then offered excellent dinner choices in Camden. After a full day on the road, the Birchwood offered a quiet, spotless, and comfortable room complete with beautiful quilted bed, updated bathroom and free, fast wifi. View of the islands and bay across...

Pros Beautiful setting, back from highway, big lawn in front. Old-fashioned motel style, so no halls, one floor, convenient. Nice décor—a bit Queen Ann or Victorian, homey. Remodeled in recent years with some new fixtures. Free wifi a very fast 17 Mbs, versus 2 or 3 Mbps at most motels. Mini frig included, but no coffee maker nor microwave. Instead...

I stayed in a single queen bed motel room the last weekend in September. It's right on Rt.1/Belfast Rd. There's an individual table and chairs on the lengthwise front porch so each unit has an eastern view of the Ocean across the road. Great for watching the sun rise for the early or the moon rise at dusk. I was...

What a surprise. This little motel, just outside Camden Maine has a perfect location on Maine's gorgeous coastline. The innkeepers' hands on approach is very evident in the spotless, comfortable and charmingly appointed guestrooms. A view of the water and the most delicious pumpkin scones ever were just two of the surprises this special motel offers. And the rate is...

Stayed in the cabin three days in September. Very nice, comfortable and clean. Beautiful, well maintained flower beds in front. Has a kitchenette, two double beds. Free WiFi. Office lobby has homemade baked goods, coffee, tea, juice, fruit, every morning 7-9am. Owners hardworking and conscientious. Location provided an easy drive into Camden. From hotel, there is a partial view of...

This is a lovely motel, quiet and esthetic, just enough out of the Camden Main Street touristy area for calm and close enough to Mt. Battie and downtown to really enjoy. We loved the home-made blueberry scones at breakfast, the chairs on the patio.

We stayed in the apartment above the main house over Labor Day weekend, It is a 2 bedroom apartment with everything you could ask for. We cooked dinners in the full kitchen and a continental breakfast of home naked goods comes with the stay. The property is gorgeous. The apartment has an amazing view of Penobscot Bay as well as...

Jen and Eric do an exceptional job, the rooms are comfortable (spotless) and relaxing. The front porch with its flower boxes and view of the ocean is an added plus. We enjoyed walking through the backyard garden filled with flowers, fruits and vegetables. In the morning we were pleasantly surprised with fresh grounded coffee, fresh fruit, juice and homemade scones....
