I loved the Hawthorn Inn. Normally I avoid B&Bs like the plague. I don't like communal dining, inn keepers who are in your face, and the lack of privacy that B&Bs,especially in America, normally evoke. The Hawthorne Inn was probably one of the best B&Bs I have ever encountered. Yes, there is communal dining at breakfast. There are a few... More

This beautiful Victorian Mansion is pristine and elegant in every way. From the charming bedrooms to the gorgeous grounds, and the incredible two course breakfasts with fine china, you couldn't find a more delightful get-away. Ted & Lisa the owner/innkeepers were so friendly and helpful, providing us with maps of the area and suggestions for dinner. The Inn is a... More

My wife and I recently stayed with our 1 and 3 year old in the Norfolk Room. The room was amazing, and could comfortably hold 3-4 adults. The backyard has a gate that leads you directly into the back of the public library, which was my 3 year old's "secret passage way" to the library. The B&B is located very... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We love having families with children stay with us! Back yards are for children to enjoy, especially ones with a "secret passage." We hope if your travels bring you back to Camden that we get to see you again. More

We are so pleased to have found the Hawthorn Inn. Not only is it beautiful, extremely cared for, but the owners and staff are wonderful. Spent two days/nights and did not want to leave. The breakfasts are extremely good. Thank you Lisa and Ted (and Deb). We look forward to seeing you again.

I have an egg allergy so notified Lisa before our visit, and they were wonderfully accommodating with delicious breakfasts and snacks (they even printed off recipes for us to take home!). Our room was lovely, the huge jacuzzi tub was very relaxing after a day wandering about Camden. The location of the inn can't be beaten" we particularly enjoyed being able... More

Unlike many old homes this one sparkled and show attention to all details. Quiet, restful, convenient, with one of the Best Cups of Coffee I have ever tasted (Hawthorn Inn's own Private 4-bean blend from Rock City Coffee). Breakfast was a gourmet experience and yet nutritious and satisfying. A wonderful modern rendition of the claw foot bathtub with the Inn's... More

Spent only 1 night here, passing through town, but we really enjoyed our stay. Very well kept and clean. We didn't get to see too much of the Inn as our room was in the carriage house which was nice and private, but what we did see of the Inn was beautiful. Breakfast the next morning was also very delicious!

My father stayed here two weeks ago and said wonderful things about the place. I decided to take a special girl there and treat her to a wonderful weekend. The place is off set from the harbor and is very quiet all around. We were not bothered once other than smiles and hellos from other guests. The owners Lisa and... More

My husband booked this inn for me for my birthday weekend. It was my first time at a bed and breakfast and I LOVED IT! The owners were so friendly and more than willing to help with anything needed. We stayed in the carriage house and the bed was huge and comfortable and it had a great view on the... More

Had a wonderful weekend with Lisa and Ted; are booked in again in July along with friends for a wedding. They are gracious and friendly and their B&B is lovely; with great access to Camden and the Harbor.
