As you can see from previous reviews this is a fabulous place to stay. The folks here are very friendly and the accommodations comfortable. Breakfast was a great way to start our day. In an area with few choices for lodging, this is a top notch place to stay.

There aren't many choices for B&Bs in Caribou but you can't go wrong with the Old Iron Inn. Small and very comfortable with a very personable and friendly innkeeper. The building is immaculately maintained and decorated, and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

The Old Iron Inn in Caribou is run by an experienced, friendly Keeper. Room was delightful with a good firm mattress on the bed. Good breakfast with great home made apply muffins. Showed us some great local nighttime activities and we ended up going to a free performance by Rhett Price at the local college and to a CD release...

This was our first time experience at a bed and breakfast and I can say that it was fantastic! Kate was a great hostess! The house was very unique and was full of antiques. The room we stayed in was very clean and inviting! There were books everywhere and were of all different subjects. And all this was the evening...

We are both long-time residents of Maine who had never been to "the County" so we took a trip to Caribou recently. We opted to stay at the Old Iron Inn. What a lovely, restful place! Kate and Kevin are wonderful hosts - welcoming but not overbearing. We intend to return to Caribou but this time, the Old Iron Inn...

I recently stayed here, over Memorial Day weekend. I was there with family for my niece's graduation. I, and my family, in various configurations took all of the rooms in the inn. Kate and Kevin, our hosts, could not have been nicer. Kate prepared a wonderful breakfast each day and her baked goods were just lovely. The rooms are beautifully...

I want to call out to Kate McCartney and her superb hospitality at the Old Iron Inn in Caribou, Maine. The Old Iron has been our home away from home since our daughter attended the Maine School of Science and Mathematics summer camp and eventually matriculated to the residential high school. Kate has hosted us for all parent events, emergency...

One night stay in this lovely B&B. Delightfully decorated with antiques and of course, irons! After a long day of exploring the area, I arrived at the Inn and received a warm welcome from Kate. I had my choice of rooms and picked the Amoeba Room, which was just perfect to get a good night's rest. Everything was very clean,...

We recently had a mini-family reunion at the Old Iron Inn while attending the biathlon. Kate and Kevin felt like members of the family and provided us with much information and delicious breakfasts while making us feel right at home. We made new friends of the other guests as well. It was a lovely experience.

No detail is missed at this charming B and B. The host provided us with an ample "on the go" breakfast since we had to leave to work at the Biathlon early in the morning, including coffee in travel mugs. The rooms were comfortable and the seating area was stocked with snacks and a coffee/tea set-up.
