When we booked this motel, we expected it to be what they had advertised on the website. When we arrived after the check-in time, no one was there. We had to wait 45 minutes for someone to help us check-in. The lawn looked like it...More

Well, it's definitely run down and hasn't been updated since at least the 70s. You will see water stains on curtains, ceiling tiles, lamp shades, but I haven't noted that the place is dirty. We make a point of staying here when on the way to Acadia simply for the experience of showing our daughter what mom and pop places were like when we grew up. If you don't want any amenities at all and want to stay somewhere that will offer a good story to tell later then book with Doug (the owner/manager)
