Overnight getaway @ the Harraseeket Inn .could not have been better. Our room was sunny and pleasant, immaculately clean and well furnished. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was soft and just perfect. Our stay included afternoon tea which was plentiful and delicious and a full buffet breakfast in the morning. The fireplaces were burning, creating lots of...

A great package deal with breakfast, afternoon tea, a buffet lunch and dinner included. L. L. Bean added a gift certificate. This is a great northwoods Inn. There was always attention to detail and the staff were great. The outside fireplace is a great place for after dinner gathering.

We have been staying at the Haraseekeet for over 25 years. There is a main building with lovely, classically New England styled rooms. Some have fireplaces, many have jacuzzis. There is a small annex with lovely rooms, most with fireplaces. There is a row of townhouse out back which are 2 BR, I Bath, with full kitchens. There is also...

I had not been here in about 20 years so I wasn't sure what to expect - but was hoping that it might live up to our fond memories. Right off the bat, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. We had mentioned that we wouldn't be able to make the afternoon tea because we had a sports...

We have stayed at the Harraseeket a number of times, and it never disappoints. It is a lovely, beautifully appointed archetypal New England Inn, warm and welcoming with two great restaurants, especially in wintertime. We loved our upgraded room with wood fireplace. Like another reviewer, I was disappointed that one of the two restaurants was closed for renovation, especially because...

We have stayed at the inn many times. This, however, is the first time that we were not totally pleased with the experience. Our reservation had been made a year ahead of time. One of the highlights of our stay is dining in the dining room for two of our three nights' stay. Unfortunately, this year we were not able to...

We're so sorry your most recent visit was not up to par. The scheduling of renovations in the tavern is largely dependent on the contractors, which keeps us guessing and makes things more difficult to juggle smoothly. All of our guests were informed by the front desk staff prior to their arrival of the dining arrangements during the one week...

One night visit for New Year's Eve wedding/reception held in the main ballroom. Excellent food, warm ambiance in all the public rooms. We're Mainahs and proud that Freeport has the Harraseeket. Our room (queen bed) was underwhelming. Maybe because the inn was almost completely booked when the reservation was made. Maybe because it was at a low price point. Bathroom...

The last thing we want to be is average, and we're doing our best to make sure that doesn't happen. Your stay should have been flawless. My wife and I stayed there for a one night getaway. We had a King deluxe room with the 2 person whirlpool. The room was very nice, the sheets and the bed were GREAT! Very comfortable, firm mattress. The bathroom was clean. Two gripes. No matter how much we turned the thermostat up, the room was cold. The hallway was...

This is the inn you are looking for. Charming and cozy while still having modern amenities, and easy walking distance to LL Bean and the rest of the shopping district in Freeport. Maybe not as quaint (i.e., small) as other New England B&B's or inns, and it is set on a pretty busy road, but overall the Harraseeket delivers a...

Lovely hotel. Short 10-15 minute walk from Down-easter train station past outlets shops to hotel which is across from McDonalds. If your luggage is not to heavy you should be OK but a wheelie suitcase might also be a good idea if it's heavy as you have to go up on hill. Great outlet shops. LLBean stores are open 24/7...
