We had a wonderful time camping here. After October 16th any site is only $25 so we decided to stay two nights. They've got everything you need and we were more than happy to give our money to a working farm and non profit. Great organization!

My sister and I arrived after dark to the campground that we just googled that day on our road trip. Had no idea till morning what an amazingly beautiful campground. The coastline was so amazing that we stayed longer than planned just exploring before heading into Freeport for shopping. And just a side note: The town of Freeport was such...

Another amazing campground! Right on a working farm. Seems like there's a ton to do in the summer, especially for kids. Things definitely quiet down in Maine as soon as Labor Day is over. We got a site overlooking the bay. Quiet and lovely!

Terrific spot to get away for rest and recharging. Campground is extremely well maintained, bathrooms are clean with plenty of hot water although somewhat rustic. Sites overlooking the bay are not to be believed. You do need to be prepared--there is no electricity or water at the sites (other, wooded sites do have hook-ups) although there is water nearby.

Lovely working farm with rolling fields on many acres. We were fearful of backing up our camper for the first time and had help from staff. Today we had trouble re-hitching our camper and again staff bailed us out. The only thing missing were hook up sites with oceanfront. I would recommend this site!!!

The silence of the night, the views of the water, the trees and hikes. The organic farm next door with delicious veggies made it a wonderful experience. The only minus point was that there were no locks on the bikes we rented.

Each time we come to Recompence, we find something else to make us love it even more! I enjoy the tranquility more than anything else! Over Labor Day weekend, we knew there would be a fair share of campers. The bathrooms were definitely difficult to keep tidy with the amount of people who were in and out using the facilities....

Very beautiful campground and very well maintained. Staff is always very friendly. The views are incredible and you are close to Freeport for any shopping or supplies although the camp store seemed to have everything you would need.

Nice afternoon hiking and exploring with 2 and 5 year old followed by great dinner over campfire. Next morning after another meal over campfire we visited the farm where kids enjoyed learning about and feeding the animals. We brought all our food and firewood, but the place has a well-stocked grocery store and firewood concession. The shoreline was nice but...
