Welcoming Flower Beds, Friendly Staff, Gorgeous Views, Clean Bathrooms/Shower Stalls, Safe & Enjoyable Environment for Kids... Our week in August at Recompence was great fun! Helpful and friendly workers in the Office/Store were intent on meeting all of our needs and answering all of our questions! At ALL times, the spacious West Bay Bath House, with its flush toilets &...

We have been coming to this campground for the past 5 years. We love that it's family- and pet-friendly. Being right on Casco Bay gives incredible views and a nice breeze that keeps the bugs away. Like any campground, there are people who get loud and rambunctious at times, but the campground staff does a good job of managing the...

We are a camping family and this is one of our favorites. Great low key family camp experience with a working far that has fresh produce and meat for sale at farm. Love the sites by the playground and gorgeous veiws of the bay. We always start and end our camping season here.

About 15 minutes outside of the adorable little town of Freeport ME is Recompence campground at Wolfs neck farm. We stayed in site #700 (in the East Bay side) at this beautiful and wonderful campground. I just can't say enough good things about this place! I have camped a lot in my time and have stayed at many campgrounds but...

We had fun camping the whole week at the Farm. My 2 older kids (7&4) did farm camp during the day & they had a blast. Our camp site was in Middle Bay where we had partial ocean view. We loved our spot! Some shade, ocean views, trees & some privacy. Other spots were wide open field over very close...

The campground itself is beautiful, although there is no access to swim anywhere and the bathhouses were filthy. The fly's were beyond annoying. Our camper was literally covered with 100's. We got strips and caught 100's but there was no stopping them. We asked about it and we thought maybe it was the proximity to the outhouse but they said...

We camped for one night in an ocean view camp site. There are different options depending on the view you want and the price you want to pay. The site was mostly private and had a nice ocean view, no complaints. The outdoor toilets near our site had dirty seats, the tissue was stuck and there wasn't any hand sanitizer....

This was admittedly my first time camping in an embarrasingly lengthy period of time, and in fact my first to a structured campground, so my standards bar was not yet set when arriving here. Our site was right next to the ocean, but it was wooded, small, and slightly sloping. None of that mattered really. The grounds are clean, well...

This was our first visit to this campground. We visited in August. Most of the toilets are pit toilets except there are flush toilets by the camp store. Nice little campus store with most provisions you could want, bike rentals, kayak rentals, and firewood for sale. None of the larger camp for sites are pull through. There are five showers...

We have stayed here a number of times over the years and love it more and more each time. We just returned from a 3-night stay in site 726, an Oceanfront site and it was beautiful. The views are gorgeous, the kids have a blast exploring the playground and the beach/bay at low tide. This is exactly the type of...
