Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Especially dinner was outstanding and service was lovely. However, I was terribly disappointed in room. Extra charge for porch room which was large, but the decor was tacky and room was very shabby. Pictures online did not show how bad room was. Very disappointed and paid too much for poor quality of room. Do...

Dear kendall1609, Thank you for your compliments on your dining experience at our restaurant. We also appreciate your opinion of the Porch Room. We are surprised to see that you did not find it attractive. We have had 6 reviews this summer alone (2014) on TripAdvisor, one actually posted the day before yours, complimenting the Porch Room for it's ambiance...

We live 15 minutes away from the Oxford House and thus frequent it often for dinner. It is our "go to" place for dinner when we have friends or relatives visiting that want a nice "dining out" experience. But this time, we made it our final destination of a three day inn to inn bike trip...we saved the best for...

MHubka, we were happy to have you stay at the end of your bike trip. We appreciate being included in your adventure. Thank you for bringing to our attention our guests desire for the decaf coffee at breakfast time. We've mentioned to our breakfast servers the importance of having both coffee blends at the ready, just in case. We look...

I have eaten at the Oxford House in the past but never stayed there until this visit. It was all I hoped and more. I stayed in the Porch Room. the decor was lovely, charming and relaxing. Due to traffic I arrived late and didn't want to eat to heavy so I ordered the sliders....absolutely delicious!! The glass of wine...

We love when our dinner guests become inn guests; feels like we've added to our family. I'm so happy you enjoyed the Porch Room. The jetted tub does provide a welcome reprieve to any weary traveler. Thank you for noticing the special touches: the lighter fare on the menu, the plush robes in the Porch room and the room's decor....

This was our first visit to the Oxford House Inn. We stayed in the large front room and found it delightfully furnished and very comfortable. Even though it faced the road, there was very little noise and we slept very well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfasts very much. The one dinner we had while...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us in connection with the wedding in Brownfield. We appreciate your comments about the inn, the food, and your room. I did want to offer information about our breakfast menu. Every breakfast begins with a freshly made pastry and juice. Our guests are then offered a choice of Jonathan's Mixed Dried Fruit &...

We are regulars at the Oxford House Inn, for good reason. We can relax, enjoy great views, delicious food (I bring my "fat clothes" ...it's THAT good), sleep well, enjoy the natural beauty surrounding Fryeburg- yet feel like family. Oxford House Inn never loses its charm, and the stress just melts away. And the food... <sigh> ... mmmm! If you...

My husband and I take road trips every year from our home in Atlanta to friends and relatives living in New England. Your thoughtful review touched on a few of the details that make Oxford House Inn special: creativity is key in the kitchen, the bar, and the overall inn experience. We are especially thankful for your mention of the rain shower in Room 3. This feature is often overlooked, unless you are a guest enjoying this simple pleasure...

We absolutely love this B&B. The owners are amazing and extremely hospitable - not to mention a great chef. The porch room is our favorite and so comfy. We just moved from Portland to Saco and try to go up at least twice a year, it's a fantastic getaway that is close to appreciate. Can't recommend this place enough.

Thank you for mentioning our community--a hidden gem in western Maine--with it's professional Performing Arts Center, a world class Academy, parks and trails scattered throughout the village, many local artists and artisans, etc. Fryeburg has all the charm of many New England towns plus some.
