My husband and I just returned from our second trip to Spencer Pond and it just keeps getting better. Two years ago we spent five days and this year we returned for nine. We just booked thirteen for the future. Spencer Pond is great for those who are looking for an off the grid experience where you can really get...

We (a group of 7) stayed in the main lodge and were very impressed with the accommodations. It offered every possible amenity you could ask for if you're asking for rustic with no electrical distractions (we were). Christine and Dana were excellent hosts who went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasurable and relaxing. If you...

We spent most of our belated honeymoon at the Lintongan cabin on Moosehead Lake and would return in a heartbeat! We canoed, hiked, swam, cooked up a storm, saw the most incredible sunsets, loons, butterflies, and barely any other people (occasional boaters or seaplanes on the lake). Christine and Dana have thought of everything to make the cabin comfortable and...

One of the best places we've been to. Very nice and secluded area, we enjoyed the quiet and private atmosphere. The cabins are very well kept and truly unique. It's definitely well worth the trip and we'll definitely be back soon.

We have come back year after year and will continue to. It is so relaxing and beautiful here! This year we saw 5 moose...two from our kayaks up close and personal! The fishing is great, views spectacular and so quiet and peaceful. Christie and Dana are fantastic hosts. Would also recommend a fall visit when the foliage is amazing!

Great place to get away from it all, also dog friendly!!! Nice and quiet, with cabins that arn't bare bones rustic, but also have a few amenities that make it feel like home (like an indoor water pump!!)

My husband and I stayed at Spencer Pond Camps in June. It was by far a true high light of our trip to Maine. We loved the simplicity of everything as well as the thought out information and up keep of the grounds. It is BEAUTIFUL. We were stayed in Lunkers Lodge which by far my favorite location at the...

The location is fantastic, the only camp on the pond so allot of nice and quiet. Views are lovely. Fished off our own dock and were catching fish within minutes. Dana and Christy are fantastic and make you feel very welcome. Really has the feel of the old-time turn of the century hunting camps which is awesome. We stayed in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Unwind "unplugged and off the grid" in natural beauty, the way life used to be. Built in 1901, Spencer Pond Camps are an authentic and historic Maine Sporting Camp. They are the only cabins on the pond and sit in the shadow of Little Spencer Mountain. 14 miles via dirt roads from our closest neighbors, on an undeveloped and scenic pond. Recognized as an environmental leader, we offer you a choice of six rustic wilderness lakeside housekeeping cabins - each with its own unique personality. The cabins are fully furnished for comfort including screened porches, rocking chairs, woodstoves, libraries and homemade quilts on the beds.Canoes and kayaks are provided free of charge. Plumbing is "out back" and relaxation is everywhere, non-modernized without electricity and reminiscent of "Little House in the Big Woods" these cabins will take you back in time. ... more   less
