What a place! the staff are friendly and helpful, the food was great and our cabin was so rustic, it was the oldest one there (#8). On our arrival, the stove was already lit and the cabin was toasty warm just what we needed after the 13km cross-country ski.

I just returned from an overnight at the Gorman Chairback lodge and I won't stop thinking of it for some time! The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The food was excellent... haddock, wild rice, asparagus, soup, salad bread for dinner and a great fruit/granola spread for breakfast on top of the french toast...

This lodge is beautiful and new and amazing. The croo loved their job and we're all very happy and social. The food was excellent. I highly recommend starting there. One of the staff said cabin 7 is the best, as it is the farthest from the others and has a great view. I would love to return with my wife...

This was our fourth visit to Gorman (and our third during the winter) and perfection describes all of our stays. From the cabins to the main lodge to the variety of trails and the family style breakfasts/dinners, everything is simply outstanding. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and to do everything they can to insure...

This AMC lodge is beautiful, staff friendly and attentive, meals deliciously filling and our cozy cabin warm and inviting. The 8.2 mile trail from the winter parking lot is wide and well groomed. Overall...a wonderful relaxing outdoor experience. The staff bring your gear in by snowmobile and for an extra fee they will ferry those in your party who don't...

To get to this cabin you cross country ski or snow shoe. The main lodge is very new and beautiful. The staff is attentive and friendly and the food is delicious. Even better when you consider how far away from anything you are. No cell phone coverage! What a vacation. The woods and lakes are beautiful. Hot showers, hot sauna,...

Warm, accommodating staff went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable and special experience. Our family of five happened to be the only guests at the Lodge and were more than well taken care of from beginning to end. Food was amazing all throughout, but dinner was incredible. We started with homemade bread and salad, main course was...

Excellent service all around! Stunning beauty and solitude. The food and company were wonderful. The Maine AMC Lodges are well run and staffed with kind and considerate folks. It's so nice to have to earn your adventure with a 6 mile approach in winter.

Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful hearty food, and great accommodations! The cozy bunkhouse was warmed by the wood-fired stove. Had a great time sitting around the fireplace drinking wine and playing games. Sauna with clean towels was a treat!

Our deluxe private cabin had a warm fire in the stove when we arrived after snowshoeing in a beautiful, Maine woods, seven miles with friends. One of us took the optional ride in from the parking area on a snowmobile. At six we had turkey with all the trimmings and an optional IPA in the big, natural-wood dining hall with...
