I'm pretty certain this is where God goes on vacation. I'm sure he misses this little piece of heaven on earth and the wonderful people who now care for it. Peaceful, beautiful, perfect in every way. This was our first trip to New England and we had been to Vermont and New Hampshire prior to our stop in Maine. This...

This would be a stunning property with sunset views across Moosehead Lake even without the wonderful innkeepers, but Ruth and Dan have made this a truly special place. Great food. Luxury accommodations you rarely find in even the finest hotels.

This hotel was just great - a warm and sincere welcome, a lovely room and first class breakfasts. There's a wonderful atmosphere here: friendliness abounds yet it remains utterly peaceful. Top marks, and sincere thanks to the owners and the bartender we met. Oh, and Milo and Murphy were obviously a highlight too...

OK, there is no doubt it is expensive , but it is good. The location is high on a hill looking down over the lake. The rooms are large and luxurious and the restaurant is very good. It is pleasantly surprising to find such a place here. If your budget permits, book it and enjoy!

My wife and I came here, like many people, to see moose! Ruth and Dan are amazing people and they sure know how to take care of you! There is NO bad room here! Our lowest priced room could easily be some sort of a suite elsewhere. The daily breakfast Dan derives were so good that we were sad not...

It may depend on what you are looking for, in our case this is perfection. The location is a 10. The view of lake is a post card. The Inn is amazingly beautiful to see from the road. The interior feels so warm and comfortable. I love to sit and admire the carpentry. The millwork. The design. Dan & Mr....

Oh my goodness, where do I begin? My husband and I recently spent three blissful days at the Blair Hill Inn, in October of 2015. We were celebrating my birthday and our 10th wedding anniversary. The Inn is pure luxury with attention to EVERY detail (luxurious robes in the bathroom, high end toiletries, crystal trays/containers with Q-tips, cotton balls). We...

The treatment and attention to detail in all aspects of the operation is only possible with owners who have a passion. Both the level of service and the quality of the furnishings were impeccable. A definite "Don't Miss".

This was our second stay at the lovely Blair Hill Inn and it was as great as the first time. Our first time was when they had just opened for the season and the restaurant was not available for dinner. This time we were able to dine at the Inn both evenings. Ruth and Dan are wonderful hosts - going...
