We had a 2 room efficiency unit with beautiful views, a large main room with a small kitchenette, and a small bedroom on the first floor of this lakefront motel. The double beds were comfortable and the room quiet. The place reminded me of roadside motels we stayed at when I was a youngster and I loved that nostalgia. As...

Clean and comfortable room but the best bit of this hotel was outside. Lovely lawns stretching down to the lakeside with lots of outdoor seating for people to enjoy. Not the best place we've ever stayed but the position was lovely.

It's a lovely location with parking. We stayed here for 2 nights and were in the older section near the free kayaks on the second floor with a small kitchenette area (microwave, hob, coffee, toaster, sink etc) with dining table, an extra separate bedroom, and bathroom (no balcony or bath). The rooms were clean and tidy with lovely views. The...

Rooms have very thin walls you can hear everything in the other rooms. Beds are cheap and very uncomfortable and the rooms have a musty odor. Most of the tv stations came in fuzzy. The owner was very insolent and ignorant to us. Upon arriving we asked her if we could park our atv trailers on the property and she...

Popular with hunters, fishermen, and retirees, what makes this place nice is the beautiful lawn going down to Moosehead Lake, with scattered pairs of Adirondack chairs, a couple of picnic tables and 2 newer gas grills. If you want to grill and have a picnic, they will provide plates, cutlery, cooking utensils. Very peaceful and quiet with peddle boats and...

Due to a change in plans late last Saturday and plans to bunk with friends for the night (we gave up the room we usually have for the weekend), we decided to get in our floatplane and head to Greenville for the Annual Sea Plane Fly-In. On a whim, I decided to call the Chalet Moosehead, fully expecting them to...

We stopped here on our way through ME, with 8 & 10 year old boys. We arrived in the dark. When my oldest son woke up in the morning and opened the curtains he proclaimed "this place is AWESOME" when he saw the view of the lake. The rooms aren't fancy (no microwave but there is a mini-refrigerator and a...

My two college age kids and their senior citizen dad enjoyed two night stay there in mid August. We found the motel to be very nice, comfortable, very clean. Both the owners were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious, clean and with a large picture window highlighting Moosehead Lake which is just steps away. My daughter especially enjoyed...

All the rooms are lake front. I attached a picture of my view from my balcony. The staff is super friendly. The motel is located right next to down town. There is WiFi. We used one of their grills to have a lovely cookout right on the Lake. We took their paddle boat out on the water. Your allowed to...
