My husband booked their last room for $250.00 for one night this past weekend (July 17th, 2021) I have Never stayed in such a sad hotel room. When we opened the door we were met with the smell of lots of cigarette smoke. The furniture was old, missing knobs, drawers smelled moldy. There were no hangers in the closet. We did not have a lamp in our room, the beds sagged. The only light in the room was a bright overhead light. The tv only turned off of you unplugged it. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom toilet seat was broken, the tub still had the tags glued to it from when it was purchased. Our set of towels were so threadbare you could poke a hole in them. We were given the tiniest soaps I’ve ever seen and shampoo in what could be a ketchup packet. The envelope for us to leave a tip for the maid had been used several times. It was ripped open and reused. The only thing working was the ac but the room smelled so foul we left the windows open all night praying no one would climb through them into our room. Never, ever will I stay in this dump again. It isn’t charming, it isn’t vintage. BTW the pool was covered, not used. The website is a joke. False advertising. They must have borrowed photos to put in their advertising. That or we were in an alternate universe.…
I stayed in a cabin at the Northeaster for several months and besides the very reasonable rate, total privacy and great wifi service I think that it would be very difficult to find more kind, polite and accommodating hosts! They are the best! If needed I would stay at this motel again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend it! -Mark O.
Clean enough, and had everything you could technically need. The room came with a microwave/fridge and a TV but that was it. There was an electric radiator for heat so the room was arctic when we got there. We were just passing through, but the location was convenient to the outlets and some really great local restaurants.
When we arrived in Kittery around 5 p.m. all the hotels were booked solid except this one that reminded me of motels my family stayed in in the 50’s for $5.00 a night. We had our own separate tiny cottage that was clean and appeared secure with a comfortable bed. It was otherwise was very Spartan with a tiny bathroom and shower and was cozy once the desk clerk came and plugged in the heater. I don’t think it was worth the over $100.00 rate but the choice was to stay there or maybe continue as far as Boston.
It was fairly clean.... thats it. When we walked in it literally smelled like poop, we had to air it out. The only amenity was a TV with basic cable, no phone or hot water or even heating (they left us a space heater in the cabinet). The beds were probably older than me, i’ve slept on more comfortable floors. The toilet seat wasn’t attached to the toilet. The place felt like a clubhouse cobbled together by teenagers. They couldn't even tell us a firm checkout time because they didn't know. If I had paid $40 for this, i’d understand. But i paid $111. It was NOT worth that much.
