Rooms are located above a bakery and restaurant. No Elevator but steps were not to bad. Rooms were awesome, staff very accommodating and helpful. No night staff but if your comfortable with staying in a small motel would recommend this opportunity. Breakfast comes with the room and is in the bakery/restaurant on main street. Breakfast is probably the best breakfast... More

It was a bit daunting to select lodging, sight unseen, that's close to Acadia National Park. This place consists of six rooms located above a bakery and restaurant. A delicious hot breakfast was included with the room. The blueberry pancakes were oustanding! The room was very homey, with a small living room and kitchenette, and a separate bedroom and a... More

We thought trying out a B&B in a quaint town in Maine would be a wonderful way to go for our first visit to Acadia National Park... Colonel's Suites did not disappoint. Clean rooms (all suites) and practically appointed furnishings (including a refrigerator and kitchenette). The complimentary breakfast from the bakery/ restaurant below, was a plus-- yummy lobster omelettes made... More

Booking on the web may give good or bad surprises. In this case I was disappointed: if you are asked more than 200 $ for a B&B, you expect something special, and special the Colonel’s suites in Northeast Harbor ME are indeed. To check in you have to go to a bakery, where you are given a key and are... More

Planning our first visit to Acadia and started looking for places to stay and saw the review of Colonel's Suites on Trip Advisor. After a 7 1/2 drive from Halifax we arrived at this quaint place to find a note on the door advising us which room we were in. A spacious suite above the restaurant was waiting for us.... More

Stayed in room 3. Was very spacious and perfect for a family of 4. The check in process was odd through the bakery but wow those blueberry donuts! Really my only complaint is no elevator to the rooms which is hard when you have two young kids and tons of luggage.I enjoyed the location of the hotel and the town... More

Very friendly staff. Awesome food, and baked goods. We stayed for our honeymoon and loved every minute of it. Very quite area, lots of little shops and great scenery. We will definitely be back next time we visit Maine. Thank you for a great experience!

We recently stayed for 2 nights here. We were very happy with our stay. The room was large enough for 5 of us to stay in. There is a pull out couch and roll away bed that the kids slept on and a spacious enough bedroom. The check in is a bit odd but after reading other reviews I was... More

We stayed there for 3 nights and to start with there was no greeting and smile or welcome from the receptionist (Renne) i think her name is. She did not guide us anything nor did she try to help with anything we asked for. I think she definitely need training in customer service world. Any question you may have, she... More

I stayed for 1 night in the off season. Due to an early morning appointment, it was most convenient for me to stay in Northeast Harbor, rather than do the 20+ minute drive each way to/from Bar Harbor or Southwest Harbor. I was familiar with the Colonel's as a place in the summer to get great pastries in the morning... More
